Terrero is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
New Mexico weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Terrero.
Don't miss local attractions near Terrero. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

This camp spot is great! Definitely arrive early because it’s first come first serve. The fees are per car, not per site or per person. And the camp host was super friendly. There was even a hiking trail near the camp grounds that was pretty fun and easy to get to. We stayed at the camp spot right beside the start of that trail. The dogs loved it!

Beautiful anytime but absolutely stunning in fall. Was patches of snow when we were there. Horse camping is allowed

One of my most favorite campgrounds in NM. The view you get in the morning is so serene. The restrooms are also cleaner than most other campgrounds.

Super campground. Large, private sites. Clean and well maintained....great hikes walking distance from camp and a gorgeous drive to the campgrounds.
