Loved this place. Had such a great time riding and camping. Beautiful mountains, still a little bit of snow. Definitely, going to be one of my favorite places and I'll be back. If they tell you no campfires, they mean it and they will check.

If you are an ATV owner & don’t mind dust this is an okay campground. We were there July 8-12 2020. By the 10th there were about 70 people in about a dozen locations. On the 8th the state police had to come in due to what appeared to be a family squabble that sounded violent. The next 3 days ATVs & vehicles going further into the forest made noise & kicked up lots of dust. The people we talked to... If you are an ATV owner & don’t mind dust this is an okay campground. Was fantastic to get out of town and spend time in the beautiful Pecos wilderness! More so, since there are VERY few places to go camping with all the closures of the usual camping spots. This place was a great find and would definitely plan on returning.
