About Lone Juniper Campground

Campground in New Mexico.

Lone Juniper Campground offers a serene and intimate camping experience in the heart of New Mexico's beautiful landscape. With only four sites, this public campground provides the kind of peaceful solitude that many RV travelers seek when escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The small size means you'll enjoy a quiet, uncrowded atmosphere where you can truly connect with nature and fellow travelers who appreciate a more remote camping setting.

The campground's location in New Mexico places you near some of the state's most compelling natural and cultural attractions. The region is known for its stunning high desert scenery, characterized by dramatic mesas, colorful rock formations, and wide open skies that seem to stretch forever. Sunrises and sunsets here are particularly spectacular, painting the landscape in shades of orange, pink, and purple that photographers and nature lovers won't want to miss.

New Mexico offers a rich tapestry of experiences for RV travelers. The state is famous for its unique blend of Native American, Spanish Colonial, and contemporary cultures that influence everything from local cuisine to art and architecture. Visitors will find fascinating museums, galleries, and historic sites throughout the region. The area is also perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, exploring scenic byways, and experiencing authentic Southwestern landscapes.

The campground's modest size makes it ideal for those who want to avoid the crowded resort-style RV parks. This is the kind of place where you can disconnect from technology, enjoy the starry night sky unmarred by light pollution, and wake to the sounds of nature. Whether you're using it as a base for exploring nearby attractions or simply seeking a quiet spot to park and rejuvenate, Lone Juniper Campground provides an authentic New Mexico camping experience.

The small number of sites means reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak seasons. This public campground welcomes travelers looking for a genuine connection to the landscape and a slower pace of travel that allows for deeper exploration of the surrounding region.

Stayed here on the 21st of November, 2021. Twas a cold night, but we were prepared. Only a few sites on the while stretch were filled that day. Campsite was clean and maintained. We were at the site closest to the entrance, right next the river entrance. This was the second time I stayed in the area. Previous site I went to is now closed off. That was a great site, at the very end.

Nice place to get away... There's space for at least up to three to four different campers, there's room to barbecue there's water right nearby a docking station... Nice quiet place

We could not camp as no overnight camping is currently allowed, but our rafts pulled out here. Pretty little spot. Lovely campground. Clean bathrooms. We will be back.
