Flat Primitive RV spots with access to public restroom. Running stream, fire rings so we we’re able to lite fire during stage 1 fire restrictions. Lots of chipmunks to laugh at, plenty of hiking trails.

Super nice secluded area! It’s far from everything so bring all the food/water you need! The creek is full enough to use a water filter system. The campsites are close to car parking so no hiking needed to unload the car.

Bathroom needs to be cleaned but otherwise it is an amazing place to camp out. No trash cans so pack out your trash but such a beautiful and serene place to be. Also be careful of wildlife we had somthing large brush up on our tent last night.

We thought we would never find this place . It looked as if it had never been used . My wife flipped when we turned into the campground and a LARGE mountain lion took off carrying a dead beaver ! She would not get out of the truck ! So much for Rio Puerco Campground ! Maybe O.K.with a better 4 wheel drive and high powered rifle ! We only had a 9mm pistol ! Good luck ! Sleep with one eye open !
