Feb 2025, Had the campground mostly to ourselves. We'll spaced campsites. Easy acess for camper trailers. CG almost a mile off the main road so quiet. Bathrooms were numerous and the one by us very clean. Has sites with either shade or sun for solar. Close by hiking and easy access to Gila Nat'l Monument.

My favorite campground in the area. The right turn into the campground is a little tight for some larger RVs, but we've seen almost every type here. The gravel road is well maintained and the proximity to the CDT is a bonus. The restrooms were clean and the dumpster was convenient.

No water in the area, but not too far from Bear Dam Lake in Mimbres or Roberts Lake. Nice place for camping out, hiking, or a picnic.

Perfect campground if you're visiting with young children. This campground is the first of three when entering the Gila National Forest (approximately 9 miles away).
