Actually, Touch Me Not is just OFF of the BSA Philmont property, on private property. Hence the name "Touch Me Not" because they aren't allowed to summit that peak. Its not a "rapey" name, its about property rights and access.

Close to town, easy to get to. The staff was all friendly. We loved that so many people stayed for the summer and you can tell they’ve made a good community. It would be nice to have concrete for your picnic tables at all the sites but there’s more than enough gravel to keep you out of the mud. We enjoyed our stay.

All I can is WOW! If you are looking to stay at a camp ground in ruidoso, this is the place. The hosts are down to earth, and are quick to make some great recommendations locally. The sites...oh my. Mature trees throughout the park, plenty of room, and quiet! The seasonal campers are super friendly, and are quick to invite you over. Little Creek RV will be the ONLY place we stay when visiting.
