About North Star RV Park

Campground in New Mexico.

Nestled in the heart of southeastern New Mexico, North Star RV Park offers travelers a comfortable base for exploring one of the region's most captivating destinations. Located in Carlsbad, this RV park provides convenient access to the natural wonders and cultural attractions that make this area special for outdoor enthusiasts and curious explorers alike.

Carlsbad is perhaps best known as the gateway to Carlsbad Caverns National Park, one of the most spectacular underground formations in North America. The massive cave system features stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and underground lakes that have fascinated visitors for generations. Whether you're planning to descend into the main cavern or explore the shallower Slaughter Pen cave, staying at North Star RV Park puts you just a short drive away from these natural marvels. The park's location on Pecos Highway offers easy access to the main attractions while keeping you positioned in the community.

The Carlsbad area itself has much to offer beyond the famous caverns. The Pecos River, which runs through the region, provides scenic views and recreational opportunities for those interested in fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying riverside walks. Local parks and nature areas showcase the unique Chihuahuan Desert landscape, where visitors can observe native wildlife and vegetation adapted to this distinctive ecosystem.

For those interested in learning more about the region's history and culture, Carlsbad offers museums and local shops that reflect the area's heritage and character. The downtown area features restaurants and gathering places where you can connect with locals and fellow travelers, experiencing authentic New Mexico hospitality.

The climate in Carlsbad is generally pleasant, with clear skies that make it an excellent destination for stargazing and outdoor photography. The relatively arid landscape means you'll enjoy plenty of sunny days throughout the year, making it ideal for RV travel and outdoor activities.

Whether you're a nature lover, adventure seeker, or someone looking to experience the unique beauty of the American Southwest, North Star RV Park serves as an excellent home base for your Carlsbad exploration.

I like it. Quiet and nice. Its clean and nobody bothers you at all. I would come back. I'm staying here now. The owners are very polite and that goes along way with me. I'm a country boy and I like to spend my money where I'm treated good at. 5 star and like I said good people.

We have rented a space here for 13 months at this point. The park as others have said is safe, quiet and clean. My husband works in the oil field and lives here, but the kids and myself drive up often to stay with him. It’s comforting to let the kids play right outside the trailer knowing we don’t have people speeding in the park not to mention everyone that lives here seems to keep a eye out for... Thank you Shawna and your family for working so hard to provide a great RV Park!

Sorry I fuel at the place out front .it seems like a nice enough place and there are a lot of people there. That tends to tell me something but I've never actually been inside I just buy fuel. Like the vending machines. Tad pricey but its convenient. And yes the aforementioned ice machines are always good to have.

Best RV park in Carlsbad area. QUIET!!!! Owner is great about keeping good tenants in and wild ones out. Just behind fuel station so I'm never late if I have to fill up before work, huge ice and water house on property, reasonable rent, excellent Management. Truly great.
