Mexico is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.
New York weather can change quickly. Pack layers and check the forecast for Mexico.
Don't miss local attractions near Mexico. Ask the camp host for hidden gems and trails.

We stayed here overnight twice in August 2019 and are hoping for a spot again in fall when the salmon are running. We are simple people and the campground suited all our needs. Selkirk park close by, a short drive to salmon river huge sites across from the creek. Had a great relaxing time walking, sitting around the fire and looking at the stars. Tried a little fishing but no luck (we love fishing but don’t catch much) nice place to spend quite time together as a family with no distractions. We will be back. Hubby is calling today to see if we can get a site this weekend for a quick get away 😍🎣⛺️🚐

Although the actual tent camping experience was good, we were initially told there were trees separating sites. This was not the case. Yes there are large trees throughout the campground but the sites do not have any privacy. The showers were also an issue. At 75 cents for 7 minutes, it takes 5 minutes to get warm water. Paying for a cold shower is not pleasant. The showers don’t have curtains for... Although the actual tent camping experience was good, we were initially told there were trees separating sites. Showers need complete overhaul to be worth the cost.

I would definitely recommend!!! The creek is great for people who love to fish. People are very friendly and people care about the kids and want to keep them safe. There’s many places to eat by the campground. Lake Ontario is right next to the campground. I would not recommend camping by the creek when the lake is flooding!!! The camp ground is great tho

Haven't frequented in over a year, but was always ran and owned by nice down to earth people. Family friendly, pet friendly too I believe. As long as lake Ontario isn't flooding, there's lots of room for different types of camping, whether by tent, camper, RV, or cabin. Great fishing on premises too. Great restaurant/diner close by if you don't feel like cooking as well. I'd say tell Sal I said h... Haven't frequented in over a year, but was always ran and owned by nice down to earth people.
