About Big Guys Campground

Campground in New York.

Nestled in the heart of western New York, Big Guys Campground offers RV travelers a welcoming retreat in the charming community of Brockport. This public campground provides a comfortable base for exploring one of New York's most historically rich and naturally beautiful regions, where the landscape transitions from rural farmland to vibrant small-town character.

Brockport itself is a gem for those seeking authentic Americana with a college-town vibe. Home to SUNY Brockport, the village maintains a lively cultural scene with local restaurants, shops, and galleries that reflect the energy of its academic community. The Main Street district offers excellent dining options and unique retail experiences, making it easy to venture out from your RV for an evening of exploration.

The location provides excellent access to the broader Genesee Country region. History enthusiasts will find plenty to appreciate, from the nearby Genesee Country Museum, which showcases life in 19th-century rural America, to various historic sites that tell the story of western New York's important role in American development. The area's agricultural heritage remains visible throughout the rolling countryside surrounding the campground.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the region offers diverse recreational opportunities. The Erie Canal runs nearby, providing scenic towpath walks and opportunities to observe canal history and wildlife. Fishing opportunities abound in local waterways, and the relatively flat terrain makes for excellent biking through peaceful rural routes. State parks and nature preserves within reasonable driving distance offer hiking, picnicking, and seasonal activities.

The campground's location along Monroe-Orleans County Line Road positions it conveniently between Rochester's urban amenities and the quieter charm of Orleans County. This makes it ideal for travelers who want peaceful nights at camp while maintaining easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment when desired.

Whether you're visiting for a weekend getaway, using it as a base for exploring western New York, or simply looking for a pleasant place to park your RV, Big Guys Campground offers good ratings and genuine hospitality that keeps visitors coming back.

Especially around the playground for kids. Mulch or a rubber surface would be a great addition since people with kids spend their whole day around the playground and bounce pillow. Same goes for the store area and tavern. A few updates would give this campground a luxury feel. Yes that comes with a cost so this may not be feedback others agree with but that’s just my opinion. Other than being a little rough around the edges this is a great place local to Rochester and we would recommend it.

The camp store had all the right things including Byrne dairy ice cream sandwiches a gourmet dog treats! A total bonus is the 585 Tavern in the same grounds for delicious good!

We even ventured over to the Destination Bar & Grill, wow this place is so Clean and Cute 😍 Drinks were cold music was great and the Owners were very social able and accommodating. We will be back and recommend this to anyone!
