Cabin 1 at Robert Moses State Park offers a serene retreat, tucked away from the other cabins, providing ample privacy and a sense of seclusion. However, the river view is partially obstructed by trees, which may disappoint those expecting an unobstructed waterfront vista. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy occasional sightings of deer grazing at a distance near the cabin, adding to the natural charm.During hot summer days, the cabin can become quite warm, especially at night. Bringing portable fans is highly recommended to stay comfortable, and fortunately, the cabin has plenty of electrical outlets to accommodate them. A basic charcoal BBQ is provided outside, but consider bringing your own grilling equipment for a better cooking experience. The cabin has both hot and cold water, though it's unclear if the water is potable, so bringing bottled water is advisable.Overall, Cabin 1 is well-maintained, clean, and ideal for a peaceful, quiet vacation. Highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil getaway in the Thousand Islands region.

I’ve been here 8 times, and every single visit has been consistently excellent. The chicken tenders are always cooked to a perfect golden-brown crisp—crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to absolute perfection. The flavor is seriously out of this world and never misses. I usually pair my order with their raspberry iced tea, which is refreshing, smooth, and not overly sweet—an ideal complement to the meal. The dipping sauces deserve their own shoutout: the chimichurri aioli and Bobwhite’s famous signature house sauce are both incredible and take the tenders to the next level. The service is amazing and super fast, with barely any wait time, and you can really tell everything is scratch-made and prepared with care. Whether you’re ordering chicken sandwiches, tenders, wraps, or even their salads, the quality and consistency stay the same every time. If you’re looking for a reliable comfort food spot that delivers on flavor, speed, and consistency, Bobwhite Counter should absolutely be a staple

The Massena, NY one btw: Loved going here! So many things to do for free. A LARGE chess board inside, various sitting areas, restrooms, and a water bottle refill station. Highly recommend

Time out says that it is a #1 place for fried chicken in NYC. Well, they are wrong. The chicken isn't bad but it's not the best and I know a good fried chicken when I have it. The seasoning is there but my thing is not juicy enough and at times it's dry. Plus they only have tenders - I want a bigger variety. Buffalo chicken wrap is very nice - it's a bit spicy, it is juicy and saucy. I would get... Time out says that it is a #1 place for fried chicken in NYC. Well, they are wrong. Fries are a bit soggy but they look and taste homemade. Biscuits are very good - I enjoyed them. I must add that the sweet iced tea is also delightful - not overly sweet but still feels sugary.

Well kept park it’s clean and lots of space in the winter months it’s quiet so I take advantage and just sit by the lake and relax you can visit the seaway or the nature center which is all in the same vicinity I recommend doing so especially if you have younger children.

Very nice beach monitor by life guards. Electric sites with asphalt roads, kept really clean. Plenty of trees and sun sites for RVs and tents. Good fishing spot too. Dump station is a bit inconvenient for the new camp area near the beach but not big deal to make a short detour on the way out.

I initially tried the famous Bobwhite Counter chicken Caesar wrap at a food festival and it was pretty good but I never went to the actual restaurant until now. Me and a friend decided to pull up and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere is small with a limited amount of seating. Plus they have a kiosk where you can digitally order your food. If you ask me, this is a better version of Chick-fil-A.... Me and a friend decided to pull up and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere is small with a limited amount of seating. Plus they have a kiosk where you can digitally order your food. If you ask me, this is a better version of Chick-fil-A. They specialize in chicken but have a variety of flavors and options to choose from. I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered the famous chicken Caesar wrap with a lemonade. The Caesar wrap was nice and warm. With the perfect amount of dressing. That chicken was fresh, crispy, and juicy. I enjoyed this Caesar wrap. Also, it wasn’t too heavy. The lemonade was sweet and refreshing. Can’t complain. I ordered through the kiosk, but service is good here. My food didn’t take too long. Honestly they may see me again in the near future… I came back a couple days after. I got the truffle chicken sandwich, Mac & cheese, and lemonade. I love the simplicity of the menu I feel like I could come in here and order anything and be satisfied. I brought a friend from out of town here and they got the same items as me. They enjoyed it too. I forgot his name but shout out to the guy with the dreads who works here. He helped me decide to get the Mac & cheese which was really good.

Even though my food came cold (long distance) it was still good. The barbecue sauce had a little kick to it and I see why people are saying it taste like Popeyes, but it’s BETTER. The biscuit was cold and it was still soft the pickles were good. I also ordered the chocolate pudding.

No bugs , very windy . got to see deer making their way to the water :-) . Found my first ever sand dollars !! Stunning rocks and plenty of shells as the tide rolls out . Water is dark brown looking . I didn’t have a chance to walk the nature trail / lighthouse but have heard good things . Tons of local there ; all extremely nice & welcoming. Beautiful drive in and out. Highly recommend .
