Both the stoves and the fireplace were fully functional although we enjoyed freakishly warm weather in January and didn't light them off on Saturday. The refrigerator was cold and clean. The boys were introduced to the "no-flush" latrines of days gone by and quickly adjusted. When ya gotta go... The shale pit provided an opportunity to look for fossils and the camp Ranger was kind enough to open the Trading Post for a limited time. All in all an exceptional camp that features a man-made lake and a beautiful wooded setting for a winter weekend adventure!

Camp K has been a great Scout camp for many generations. Many opportunities for outdoor education and recreation. Trails for hiking, tents and cabins available, waterfront boating, swimming pool as well as rifle and archery ranges. Not open to public, you must be a good scout to partake in this facility's awesomeness.

I have been a Boy Scout with Troop 174 since 2012 and have gone to Camp Karoondinha every year since 2013, with this year being my last year. I can not say enough about Camp Karoondinha or its staff. Every year I have always been welcomed, and I could feel the Staff really did care about if the scouts succeeded or not. It is always bittersweet leaving at the end of the week, because you grow to know the counselors, even maybe considering them friends. But even when you leave, a few years down the road, you will still remember every experience, and the joy it brought you.
