Our family stayed here for one night and unfortunately for the price of this campground, I would not recommend. The site itself was large, but not maintained and covered with broken glass from a broken trailer window - completely unsafe. There was a ton of garbage - broken toys, cigarette butts, an old towel, strewn around the site. It was nice that the site had a concrete/brick patio but it was overrun with weeds making it mostly useless. Overflowing garbage cans throughout the park, dirty bathrooms (and not enough bathrooms for the volume of guests - in particular the new area at the back of the camp does not have its own shower/bathroom block) makes it feel like staff just don’t care. General maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, washrooms and buildings are lacking as well. It feels like this was once a nice place but has been seriously let go. Photos attached are of the main building/pool and broken glass on the site. The structural integrity of the main building is questionable at best and in need of serious repairs. The park was nice for the kids, but it’s really hard to find positive feedback for this campground unfortunately. Update August 16, 2025: After posting our review, we discovered on the online bill that it showed we had been charged for two nights and not one. We called the camp to discuss and were assured that someone would call us back. I’m disappointed because based on the campgrounds original response to my review, and the assurance from staff that someone would call us, I was hoping to provide a follow up to our experience that was positive. Unfortunately, instead of a phone call back we received the email below, reprimanding us for our ‘claim’ that we had been billed two nights and for posting a negative public review. To be clear, we were not asking for a refund - just hoping that they could offer a call back with some opportunity to rectify the situation as they had stated in their post. Luckily, we were only charged for the one night, however, the online booking does display it as two nights which was our cause for concern. Very disappointing customer service in addition to the already poor experience. ———— Thank you for your email and for sharing your concerns regarding your stay at Heidi’s Campground on August 2nd. We have reviewed our records carefully and can confirm that you were charged for one night only and not the 2 nights you claimed. We understand you had concerns about the site assigned and the conditions you described, and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We work hard to maintain a safe and welcoming campground, and your comments have been shared with our staff to ensure improvements continue to be made. We also would have appreciated the opportunity to address your dissatisfaction during or immediately after your stay, before a public review was posted. This would have allowed us to make things right directly with you. Given that your stay was completed and services were provided, however, we do not find a refund appropriate at this time. We value all feedback, as it helps us improve for future guests, and we appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. Andy Buechin Heidi’s Campground

Our site was pull through which was also very convenient. There was a mix between permanent sites and travelers. The permanent sites where we were all seemed very well maintained. The area we were in was note shaded, seemed newer, but that was perfectly fine for us. There was a camp store, restrooms, small dog park and an indoor pool ( we did not use during our stay). We got good service with our Starlink during our time here. We were also very grateful they allowed us to check in an hour or so early as were getting work done on our truck while in the area. It is kind gestures like this in addition to the beautiful park that will definitely bring us back !

The pros definatley outweigh the cons and this place is great value for your camping money.

They had bingo for adults and for the kids which was fun and some great prizes to be won. They even had someone doing air brush tattoos for the kids on the Saturday. There is a general store on site but also one down the road in Hawkstone with an LCBO if needed. You can hear the traffic noise from Hwy 11 if your windows are open at night and bathrooms are a bit dated but not something we fuss over. Overall we enjoyed our stay and may very well be back.
