Spring was running as of last weekend. It’s maybe a 5-10 minute hike off the A.T. I’m 41 and it barely gets me going, so don’t listen to the 4 out of breath tweeners who gave it 4 stars. It’s a great campsite! Headed there again this weekend…

Good water access from a small creek (at least small in late August, follow the blue blazes past the fire circle), good clean sites and well-established fire pit area (logs for seats). Only 4 stars because of the VERY steep climb out of the site back to the AT. Able to do in abt 10 min but 4 20 yr guys were very out of breath

I just wanted to agree with Stephen about the " out of breath tweeners". Hiked it with my 8yo. In and out were a breeze compared to the gap or knob , the dual springs right out the ground and soft earth to sleep on made it my favorite spot between there and del water gap

The New Tripoli Campsite offers flat, grassy, shaded and comfortable sites for AT section or thru hikers. This campsite is near a spring and also furnishes hikers with a large premade campfire pit. Excited to camp here someday soon! Be advised you do have a strong up and downhill elevation to get to and from the site off the Appalachian Trail as you're at the North/North Western base of the Blue R...
