At 10pm she would walk around the park and tell you to turn your music off even if you were listening to it on your cell phone and would make comments like, " I think that is enough wood in the fire for tonight." Like everyone is supposed to go in their campers and go to bed. There was no marina at all and only outdoor storage for boats and you had to move boat trailers around by hand yourself because there was hardly any room so of course many trailers were damaged because of this including mine. You get billed twice a season for your electricity which she adds to your kilowatt usage then charges more per kilowatt than hydro charges her and also charges an administration fee at each billing period x2 instead of doing billing at the end of season like any normal place. A main road with some very fast drivers passes right through the middle of the park and we would have to cross it to get to the beach. If you rented a dock for your boat it isn't really a dock it consisted of 2, 2x6's parallel to each other so it is like walking a tight rope to get in your boat especially if you have kids or carrying stuff. You are not allowed to wash your trailer or anything because they are on a well system and run out of water at least twice a year there. Happened to my Wife while she was in our shower with soap in her hair. Also doesn't know how to properly maintain the chlorine in her system as one time I tested it and it had more free chlorine than my hot tub at home does (This is not a joke). Also if you like to fish this is not the spot for you, there is no fish on this side of the lake and it is always so rough you can't go very far safely unless you have a 20' plus boat and then you have no where to park a boat that big here Honestly I would give this park a 0 zero but google doesn't allow it.

We found this trailer park in a situation of desperation and we're so glad to have found it. First half of season 1 was great. We stayed for a total of 1 and 1/2 seasons. 1 star for gorgeous sunsets, 1 star for great grounds maintenance and beach. We had a few great neighbour's that we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, we agree with most other 1 star reviews 😒. A great learning experience for us

Point of Mara is truly our home away from home and has been for many years. On premises you can also find public washrooms and showers that are always kept clean. Christine and family are wonderful hosts. They are always happy to help, listen and strive to always make their guests' stays most enjoyable. A group of park volunteers put on fun and memorable events throughout the summer each year, like fireworks displays, karaoke, horse shoe tournaments, scavenger hunts, wine & cheese and a huge thanksgiving dinner at the end of the season. If you are looking for a place to party this park is not for you. Seasonal campers like ourselves chose this park because of its quiet atmosphere. We are very happy here and look forward to our summers each year.

We stayed in one of the motel rooms, which was basic, functional and clean - a typical family-style cottage experience. No housekeeping services during our stay meant we were never disturbed which suited us just fine. Bring your toiletries, hairdryer, food and drink. It was the perfect spot to just kick back and relax and enjoy spectacular views by day and sunsets by the fire at night. I can imagine it might get very busy and noisy at the height of summer, though. Christine and family were very friendly and helpful. Only down side were the skeeters which always love to feast on me 😐but that’s just the way it is in lake country so come prepared.

This place is beautiful! The owners are so nice and the cottages are well-organized. They provide almost everything to have the best stay possible (a variety of bikes, fire pits, outdoor chairs, barbecue, kayaks) We came here on my daughter's birthday and she had an amazing time! You will have a fantastic view of lake Simcoe. It was time well spent.
