Great boat launch with lots of space and easy ramps. It says it closes at 6pm but people were launching and retrieving boats way later than that. There is a machine to pay for launching its $7 dollars which is quite reasonable for the facilities. One of the best launch sites I have ever used.

The park was very nice. Plenty of picnic tables, clean restroom, nice path to walk on around the park. I took off one star because the signs for the parking are a little unclear. We parked on the grass (which I believe was where we were supposed to be). There was no one to ask. I also took off that star because the hiking trails weren't as well maintained as I have seen them for other state parks.... The park was very nice. Overall a great place to spend an afternoon.

But our favorite part of the park is to rent out the cabin/ Cottage that is available for weekly rentals through Reserve America.com. The park is empty at night except for the cottage so you have a lot of privacy. With the cottage you have a dock, and you are right on the water. You have beach access. The park itself has been short staffed, so there's no lifeguards presently on duty. Sunsets are incredible. The cottage has a full bathroom w/shower. The kitchen full equipped with stove/oven, refrigerator w/ freezer, coffee maker, microwave and full sink to wash dishes. (need to bring own bedding and dishes/pans). Outside there are two picnic tables, a small grill for charcoal grilling, firepit, your own dock and beachfront.

Long Point is an amazing little state park. It gets crowded sometimes on hot days, so be prepared to cart your stuff across the park. Please be respectful if you choose to visit and clean up after yourself and your pets, and please don't vandalize this beautiful place.
