This is my second time going to Whispering Winds campground. I've been to eight different places if you want the quaint little Campground experience. This is the place for you. They make you feel very friendly and welcome and all their activities they go out of your way to help you with anything you need the owners are very friendly. I found out they bought this place at auction a few years back... This is my second time going to Whispering Winds campground. I found out they bought this place at auction a few years back . yes, there are other bigger Camp Grounds with more to offer but for the price which is very cheap it is that old time feeling of camping like it used to be. I am an older adult and just bought an RV and I will definitely come back here again. The sites are very well-maintained and every site has water, electric and sewer. They also have a very nice pool and rec room.

Very welcoming friendly campground! Love all the land for my two large dogs to walk and play. Sitting in the morning and seeing all the wild life in the pond or walking and seeing all the deer was always a great part. One great bonus that we didn’t expect was the firework show that Mary and Peter put on it was amazing!! Seasonal again next year.

Had a great time at the haunted house! The workers were so friendly and loved my almost 3 year old nephew that was with our group. He was a chatterbox and they talked with him and said he was so cute. He wasn’t fazed at all but my 10 year old started crying at the chainsaws but afterwards he said how fun it was and said he was glad he got a little scared. A nice haunted house close to home and you... Had a great time at the haunted house! The workers were so friendly and loved my almost 3 year old nephew that was with our group. This was a last minute attempt to find a campground. I read some of the reviews, but thought it can't be that bad! I was wrong!!! The trains run just along the campground and blow whistles all night long. Grass and grounds are poorly maintained. As a matter of fact night 1 a large portion of a tree fell on 3 vehicles. You could see the giant limb was rotten. As for the campground management they told the owners of the vehicles that its not their problem. The man who's truck was damaged was extremely upset. When they finally brought a front end loader out to pick up the tree they didn't chain it and had campers walking under to move their cars. No concern for their safety what so ever! This campground is probably 90+ percent residents. Had the feeling of a trailer park not a kid friendly campground. Also they advertised a driving range, but if you look at their fb page they closed it. Our lesson learned is a walmart parking lot would have been the better option over the bar that's trying very poorly maintained campground. Please see pics

The owners are super friendly and accommodati g. There is a feeling of community and family. This was my first campground going full-time. Owner Peter took the time to teach me so much. They were always helping the campers and made you feel like home. The grounds are well maintained and plenty to do with the kids. I will definitely be back.

Before we arrived I read many reviews saying that this place was run down and the people were miserable. This was NOT the case for us. The employees were very friendly and the campground itself was well kept and the perfect amount of children laughing and quiet. Any dogs barking were at a minimum and not at all bothering. Kids playing on the playground and at the pool we're not overly loud. Maybe... Before we arrived I read many reviews saying that this place was run down and the people were miserable. Maybe I got lucky but I have nothing negative to say about the place. We did a 1 hour tour where they do try to sell you a "membership" that was a bit expensive but to others it might be a good deal. When we broke down the numbers and told them it wasn't for us they were not mad about it like many reviews stated. They basically told us "it's not for everyone and we hope you enjoy your stay". The negative reviews had me on edge about this place but after coming here I realized they were either way off or that was an off chance that something bad happened. We've been very happy with all aspects of this place so far.

We “won” a 3-day, 2-night stay, which was nothing more than a pathetic sales trap. The entire pitch was them begging us to drop $17,500 on a “membership” that gives you… absolutely nothing worth having. You still have to pay $200 a night to stay in their crappy little cabins with AC units that belong in a junkyard, eat in a restaurant that smells like sewage, and maybe take a dip in their disgusti... You still have to pay $200 a night to stay in their crappy little cabins with AC units that belong in a junkyard, eat in a restaurant that smells like sewage, and maybe take a dip in their disgusting “heated pool” that looks more like a swamp than a place for people. The funniest part? They kept bragging that they’re “better than public camping sites.” Oh please. At least public campgrounds don’t try to scam you out of $17k while offering the same (or actually better) experience. Here, you get no security (the gate is literally lifted by hand like a cheap carnival ride), no background checks on members (so you never know what kind of creep you’re next to), and “amenities” that are nothing but sad jokes. So congratulations to this place — they’ve managed to create the world’s most overpriced, trashy campground. Public sites are cheaper, safer, and cleaner. These people are basically asking you to light $17,000 on fire for the privilege of being ripped off. What a scam. What a joke

One of the three showers was out of order. • Amenities: The miniature golf course is in terrible shape, and the outside deck is caving in, making it completely unusable. • Atmosphere: Campsites are crammed together like sardines, with little privacy. We also had barking dogs after 10 pm and encountered several rude people during our stay. Overall, this campground feels run-down and poorly maintained. We will not be returning, and I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a cleaner, friendlier, and better-kept place to camp.

We were givin a free weekend with our new camper and little did we know it is a time share resort.. they'll tell you it's not but it's a lie. They tried to sell as a $15k time share and I was upset. We came to camp as a family for the first time and they ruined a whole day of much needed family time. The showers are awful and the sites are packed in like no other camp site. Beware!!!!!!
