About Brookwood RV Resort

Campground in New York.

Nestled in the heart of the historic Hudson Valley region, Brookwood RV Resort offers a perfect basecamp for exploring one of New York's most culturally rich and naturally beautiful areas. Located in Ticonderoga, a town steeped in Revolutionary War heritage and natural splendor, this RV park puts you within easy reach of some of the Northeast's most compelling attractions and outdoor experiences.

Ticonderoga is most famous as the home of Fort Ticonderoga, one of the most significant military installations of the American Revolution. History enthusiasts will find themselves captivated by the restored fort, which sits majestically on a peninsula overlooking Lake Champlain. The fort offers engaging tours, reenactments, and museum exhibits that bring colonial and revolutionary history to life. Whether you're a history buff or simply curious about America's past, a visit here provides genuine educational value and breathtaking views across the lake.

Beyond the historical attractions, the region is a gateway to outdoor adventure. Lake Champlain, which borders the area, offers excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, and water recreation. The lake is known for its scenic beauty and recreational possibilities, making it ideal for RV travelers who want to enjoy water activities without venturing far from their campsite. The surrounding landscape features rolling hills, dense forests, and numerous hiking trails that showcase the natural beauty of upstate New York in every season.

The town of Ticonderoga itself provides a pleasant small-town atmosphere with local restaurants, shops, and services. You'll find the community welcoming and authentic, offering a genuine glimpse into rural New York life. The area is particularly stunning during fall foliage season when vibrant colors transform the landscape into a natural masterpiece that draws visitors from across the country.

For those interested in outdoor recreation, the proximity to numerous state forests and nature preserves means excellent hiking, bird watching, and nature photography opportunities. The region's changing seasons each offer distinct advantages—summer brings warm weather perfect for lake activities, fall delivers spectacular scenery, spring showcases wildflowers and renewal, and winter offers a peaceful, quieter experience for those who enjoy the season.

Brookwood RV Resort serves as an ideal launching point for exploring this multifaceted destination, whether your interests lie in history, outdoor recreation, scenic beauty, or simply enjoying the peaceful pace of upstate New York.

My close friends were staying at Roger’s rock, but we weren’t brave enough to camp with a ten month old. We were close enough to the park and Ticonderoga to enjoy everything, while having a nice room controlled quiet place for the baby to sleep at night. We will definitely be back!

The following is my review of Brookwood Camp Resort My wife and I stayed here from 9/19/25 to 9/27/25. First of all, I would like to say my wife and I have been camping for over 30 years in various campgrounds (State and Private). I have been camping for 50+ years. Now for the review, the campground is a very well kept facility. My compliments to Mark and his crew, The sites are clean and raked out, the bathroom/shower is very clean and neat. The pool looked very clean and inviting. It was very quiet at night and we got an excellent nights sleep all week. With the exception of one power outage, I believe it was Thursday night, sometime after 10pm and lasted a short time. Fortunately, having battery power it did not impact us at all. Here are my Two complaints about this place: #1 Water pressure is very low, my incoming water pressure gauge in my camper showed approximately 25 psi.(typical house pressure should be between 50 to 70 psi.) As per campground guidelines, I had "NO" pressure regulator in line to affect the water pressure. The site is served by a 1/2" copper water line attached to the pole. This size is not adequate for flow or pressure (considering most rv water hoses are 3/4") When I asked my neighbor about his water pressure he said the place always has low water pressure. I did notice that a few sites were being up graded with 1" poly pipe. #2 When I approached Buffie regarding the water pressure, she began to address me in a very condescending way and would not let me explain how I was set up and how much water pressure I had. When I interrupted her long winded dissertation to try and tell her I had "NO" regulator connected in line. She then accused me of being argumentative and said, "I should leave the camp store because she was going to cry." She then proceeded to turn her back on me and walk away, and leave the camp store by going out the back door. I was taken back by her response to my simple inquiry. I am not an argumentative person and I am not an aggressive person. Also, I do not exaggerate. This is what transpired in the camp store that morning. Other than these two items it was a very nice place to stay. I have seen some of the responses from the owner when there are complaints and their responses are very mean spirited and condescending when they are called out on an issue. So keep that in mind when you read this review and their response.

What a nice Campground, our site was level in a nicely, wooded area. The hook up stand was new and everything worked properly. The pool area is amazing, installed three years ago and they didn’t miss a thing. The Camp store in front has everything you would need and then some. The owners, Mark and Buffy are super friendly and helpful. Nice job guys we will be back A+

We stayed at the Beaver Den Lake House at Brookwood RV Resort and really enjoyed it. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Two queen bedrooms, a bunk room, full kitchen, grill, fire pit, and a deck to relax on. The resort has great amenities like WiFi, a pool, and live music, and it’s only a few minutes from Ticonderoga. A great spot for a getaway.
