We had a great stay at Lake Erie KOA while traveling from NH to MI to trade-in our trailer for a new unit. It was a perfect stop both ways—clean, convenient, and relaxing. The staff was welcoming, and the location ideal. Thank you for the hospitality!

We absolutely loved this campground! We stayed here for one night on our way out west and then made it a point to stay for a night again on our way back home. There is a vineyard next door and we were able to smell the grapes which was wonderful! A short walk directly across the street there is a park right on Lake Erie and it’s gorgeous! A lovely place to take a walk. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating.

Park is clean and right across the street from the lake. You can walk over and see the sunset. It has lots of trees. We're in a 41 ft class a with a toad and didn't have to unhook. The one and only thing we didn't like about it is, it was very dusty. Whatever is on the road blows white dust all over everything when someone is driving through.

I love this place and this visit was another wonderful time spent on the road. I saved up all of my "down" days on this trip so I could spend them at this location. The campground is meticulously kept, has clean bathrooms, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the location is great - just across from a park overlooking the Lake Erie sunset every evening, and surrounded by the Lake Erie wine country. It was a bit humid and rainy this time but usually the weather is cool and fresh in the summer. The swimming pools are clean and the guests are well-behaved and respectful of each other. There's a bit of road noise but the convenience of this location off the various main highways is worth it. It's also a great jumping off point to drive the coast of Lake Erie and see the charming little towns on the lake shore. Highly recommended.

Honest review here we go… Place is very nice but has some drawbacks for us as a family of 4. The CONS- The thruway is directly behind the park and tent campers should be aware it is loud at all hours because of this road noise. With a camper it’s not too bad. The site we stayed on was a full hookup pull through site and on gravel, not paved. None of the sites here are paved. They are very tight a... The CONS- The thruway is directly behind the park and tent campers should be aware it is loud at all hours because of this road noise. With a camper it’s not too bad. The site we stayed on was a full hookup pull through site and on gravel, not paved. None of the sites here are paved. They are very tight and not at all flat. For the price which we knew was higher going into it ($83 per night when State parks are around $35 night fyi) we would expect a better maintained site but we made it work. This was end of June and the park wasn't even half full, very odd but probably due to the price. Upon arrival I was informed that my two Kids would be an additional fee of $5 per night “because kids are harder on things.” I found this absolutely ridiculous. In all my years of camping I’ve never been charged extra because I had kids. The site price was high enough. There were ZERO activities (crafts, hayrides, etc) for children like other KOA parks we’ve stayed at and this KOA had the older crowd feel, not much about children. As for the PROs- The pools were the cleanest we’ve seen and swam in. The park itself is nice with a beautiful creek to wade in and pond to fish. The camp store was great but pricey. The K9 park was great. This park is minutes from Barcelona boat launch and perfect for Lake Erie fishermen wishing a close place to stay. Overall not a bad place, and staff was very friendly, just not the top of our list in the future because of these above reasons.
