We enjoyed our stay of one week very much, thank you! Beautifully maintained, and we really appreciate KOA giving back to the community, as seen in the Trunk or Treat event held while we were there. We went on some fantastic hikes, BUT I wished we had more complete trail maps.

We stayed at Lake Placid / Whiteface Mtn. KOA Holiday Riverside side. It was clean and nice. I made a mistake on my booking and had to get another night, they said we would have to move spots and that as ok with us. But the morning came to move, and the desk lady told us we didn't have to, and we could go about our day. An hour after we left to go on a boat ride, we got a call telling us that we had to come back to move our fifth wheel. I told her that the worker said we didn't have to she got nasty and said we had no choice but to come back now., When we got back the man that had rented the spot we were in came over and said I am so sorry I told them I'd take a different spot and not to bother you. So, we asked for the manager and when he came over, he was rude and wouldn't help us all he said is they paid for that spot and when we told him the other guy didn't care he said oh well you're moving anyways. My husband told the lady at the desk that it was going to take 2 hours to take down and reset up so the manager said why is it going to take that long you need to do it faster. We missed our boat, and it ruined our last day of our vacation when there was no reason for them to do that to us. So be careful the management has no respect, and KOA They would not reimburse us for their mistake not even an apology

Nice campground in a convenient location. The restroom/shower facilities were clean and well-maintained. Like having a “private” space with sink, toilet, and shower. The campground was on the river and we loved the picnic tables, and seating area with gas fire pit beside the river. Friendly, helpful staff.

For anyone who has stayed at this KOA in the past - the KOA has moved and is very different from the previous location. For anyone who has stayed at this KOA in the past - the KOA has moved and is very different from the previous location. For new visitors, be aware that many of the photos on google are still from the previous location on Fox Farm Rd, not the new location, so be sure to look at the dates. The good: Friendly staff, clean cabins. The bad: The new location is a downgrade from the original. The charm (and honestly, the woodsy privacy) is virtually gone. The prices for the cabins are high for where you are and what you get. The amenities and layout of old site were a huge part of the draw to this particular KOA. Now that it has relocated it is just not the same experience that made it worth traveling for and paying a premium. I am hoping that the new site improves with age, and may give it another chance further in the future. For now, especially considering the pricing, I will hold off from rebooking for a few years and give other campgrounds a look.

Good news bad news! Site are large and clean. Staff is great! And extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for getting to the Lake Placid. Village and activities. No shade at rv sites at the Riverside location. WIFI is strong and available, but absolutely no tv service either air or cable which is a bit strange. Lastly price is expensive compared to other Holiday KOA's.
