Absolutely beautiful grounds. Right next to the lake. My buddy is renting there and loves it. Can't wait till summer to go fishing. Two thumbs up with a margarita

The lodge is a throwback to times when summer was open windows and dancing to live music in rustic dance halls 'til 1am. The old barn feels like the early 60s inside, right down to the wooden folding chairs, huge dance floor and the moose head above the stone fireplace. We stayed out of the way. We came to sunset bay with 4 separate families. We have vacationed together for 20 years this was ideal for us. Our children were grown and we all looked forward to retirement together at the lake. We had a beautiful clean site and were never spoken to for breaking rules. During a management change our deposit was misplaced. Recurring managers sent us an eviction notice with 30 days to vacate before the season started this was March . We were shocked and offered to drive directly to campground to pay in full before season started. We were told absolutely not and in Glens words we dont want your kind here. We were heartbroken. But had felt we had no recourse. So we sold our camp. At the time of sale we were told that we are banned for life from entering the campground to visit our family and friends. This was in 2018. Last year we asked permission to come visit for ring of fire. We were there for 2 hours. I found out recently that the groundskeeper saw us and reported it to the owners who we have never met. And we are again banned for life. I know you are thinking theres more to the story. Theres not. We spent alot of money to be there and in the end treated horribly. This year it continues. We moved on but miss our friends. Very sad and confusing. I have had people urge us to fight this as we did nothing to be banned for life. I know the owners have heard this story but curious to know what was really said. Sunset Bay feel free to reach out to us to remedy this. You have a great campground that could be amazing with decent people running it. No one should ever be treated as we were and continue to be over a missing 600.00 check.

Band played here, but the weather was quite chilly and damp for a late May night. Some enthusiastic folks showed up and we had fun. Our POC Brian was pleasant and happy to help, and we hope to be back playing again soon when it's warmer.

Owners are rude , prices go up yearly . Many other places on the lake for much cheaper . Same bands over and over . Favoritism between owners and some renters, Rules only apply to people that they want them to. Campers are very close to each other. I had a camper threat in my life last year. The owners wouldn’t tell me their name so I can contact police.

It's the best! Everyone so friendly. Campers, staff, workers. Lots of events for everyone to enjoy. Dock space is great and protected by its beautiful bay. Come join the family and wonderful campers and staff!
