Lyndhurst is a charming course with great potential, and it's encouraging to see the new owners making strides to improve its condition. The layout remains enjoyable, and the grounds are showing signs of care and investment. However, there are some operational issues that need attention to truly elevate the experience. During a recent round, my group encountered significant delays caused by a twosome ahead of us who took nearly 50 minutes to play the first three holes. To make matters worse, attempts to contact the clubhouse for assistance went unanswered, and there was no staff presence throughout the entire front nine. This lack of oversight led to confusion and frustration—not just from slow play, but also from players jumping holes and disrupting the flow of the game. As a former long-time member under Joe’s ownership, I had been seriously considering rejoining next season. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider. The course would benefit greatly from a dedicated marshal to ensure pace of play and a starter at the first tee to guide players and maintain order. Lyndhurst has the bones of a great golf destination, but better management and on-course supervision are essential to make it truly enjoyable for all players.

Lyndhurst is truly a local favorite! The course is a great flat 18-hole layout, making it enjoyable whether you’re walking or riding. It offers some fun challenges along the way, while still being a great place to play a round. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. A wonderful spot for golf close to home!

Mid-august and we've had very little rain, the fairways were green and the greens were lush and the ball stopped well on them. Since the new owners have taken over, there seems to be many improvements on the course. The grounds crew are always out working and have the course in great shape. They've added sand to the bunkers that were previously just grass and have the greens in great condition. One minor comment would be that I'd like to see the greens roll a little quicker, but otherwise a great experience for a course I played at many times. If you're a cottager or spending time near the lake, this is a great course as my round yesterday took less than 3 hours for 18 holes.

Rude Owner, broken ATM, and embarrassing treatment in front of My Kids I took my two sons golfing for what was supposed to be a fun, bonding day. I planned to pay for 18 holes, but when we got there, the ATM was broken, and they only take cash and didn’t offer any other way to pay. I only had enough cash for nine holes, but since the course was practically empty, we figured it wouldn’t be a big deal to try out a few holes on the front and a couple on the back. The owner and his daughter approached us near the boat area. Rather than handling the situation respectfully, they confronted me in front of my sons, questioned my integrity, and rudely implied that my sons might not even be related to me which was an unnecessary and humiliating remark. They told us we couldn’t continue past the front nine, even though their broken ATM and lack of alternatives were clearly at fault. No one else was on the course, so it wasn’t like we were disrupting play or sneaking onto a packed back nine. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect or condescension at any golf course. If you’re a parent looking for a smooth, welcoming place to enjoy time with your kids, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Everyone here, for the most part, has been awesome. Friendly owners, permanent campers and visitors. Our site is an extremely easy in and out for our 32 foot rig. Dump station, plenty of Porta potties, showers and lots of space. And we got alot of use out of the golf course. My husband has pretty much mastered the back 9. Nice clean pool as well! When we travel back to NY, we will definitely come back. Thank you Fire Fox for your warm hospitality!

Great little 12 hole course. Reasonably priced and a bit of a challenge. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. Course was pretty much a swamp in some places due to all the rain but overall a beautiful course. Hole 11 is by far my favorite, challenging yet fun. There was even a little girl at the clubhouse cheering me on.

Food was good and some interesting and different choices than you will find no where else. Price for food will not break you. Very generous portions. So think about that or you will be throwing food away unless you have a good apppitite. Very happy , will be back.
