My family owns land in Delaware county, so naturally we visit up there (from Long Island) often. This summer was the first time we visited Oquaga Creek State Park, and it did NOT disappoint!! Will be visiting every time we’re up there from now on, for sure! The water is beautifully calm, park-goers enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, picnicking, and swimming (dogs included!) ☺️

Nice beach with no lifeguards (in my preference I prefer no life guard) because of no restrictions on the beach is nice for beach gear, boogie boards, beach tents etc.

Love this park! Big, grassy sites, many of which are separated by trees to give you some space. Beach area is big and nice. There are plenty of trails for the average hiker. But you must be ready to unplug as they don't have power at the sites and there is no cell reception or wifi. We couldn't even get TV in out area, but that was wonderful! Just enjoy nature and maybe a good book!
