The lake is pretty, but the campsite sucks. The sites are small and crowded together, the bathroom is terrible and has no hot water. The spot to pitch a tent is literally crush and run gravel. I bent 6 tent stakes before giving up and only using half of what I needed to put my tent up. And the gravel was hard to sleep on even though I put down several layers of blankets. And the gravel was hard to sleep on even though I put down several layers of blankets. The sign says quiet time from 10pm until 6am but it was literally only 6pm and the park maintainence guy came over and told me to turn down my blue tooth speaker... Literally a speaker the size of a deck of cards, that I only had up half way. Meanwhile it's ok that half the sites had loud barking dogs, and people talking really loud etc... but my music was a problem... Go figure. Plus there is literally a bunch of hiking trails between the campsites and the lake, so people are constantly walking by, and taking their dogs to go poop by the tent area.. Arrowhead campground is around the corner and way way nicer.

Lower Loop site 13. The driveway was slightly sloped, but the tent pad was level. I've never been a huge fan of gravel tent pads, but with a little extra supplies, it works for us. Our 9x7 tent fit great. The lake was only a few seconds away. No one bothered us, which is the way we like it. Thursday night, it was super quiet. Friday night, the families arrived with kids, but still no serious issue... Lower Loop site 13. The driveway was slightly sloped, but the tent pad was level. The bathrooms and showers mostly worked. But, sometimes things break and are out of order. We were about a 30 second walk from the dumpster and water station. Even with the burn ban, people were still building fires in the fire pit. It wasn't really cold, so we chose not to risk being the reason for another wildfire. Badin Lake is still one of my favorite places to visit.

The campground doesn't have electric or water at the campsite. It does have a grill and a picnic table, and the sites have some privacy and the driveway is paved and flat enough for our van. The (free) showers are hot. And the hiking is nice, though the boater trash is disgusting.

The campsites are nice, bathrooms are decent, and most of the sites are a short walk to the lake. The price is pretty good for what you get. There is a grill, picnic table, and fire ring at every site which is nice. The only downside is that some of the sites are pretty close together, which is standard at other similar campsites. I had great cell signal the whole time which was a plus.

Campsite was good , close to the lake ..all was good with the exception of the Bathhouse ..the shower , spraying water in all directions, tiles missing , and warm water was gone within 3 minutes then cold ..other than the shower very satisfying!
