My son attended this camp last summer and I was very unhappy with how they assign cabins to campers. You would think younger kids would be in a cabin with other kids of similar ages. No…my son was 11, and there were multiple men (40-60+ years of age) housed in the same large cabin along with the younger boys and young adults. I found that strange and concerning, but the administration didn’t seem... My son attended this camp last summer and I was very unhappy with how they assign cabins to campers. I found that strange and concerning, but the administration didn’t seem to think there was a problem with that. I don’t think I am the only parent of a special needs child that would feel uneasy about that living situation. He came home with a few questions I didn’t expect to be asked. My son is at a very impressionable age, and had I known he would spend a week in a cabin with much older men, I would have never enrolled him in the camp. But, on a positive note, he did enjoy the activities and the counselors.

One of the best camp grounds I have ever been too. The facility are top notch and the staff is incredible! If you are looking g for a venue for a corporate team building or want to celebrate with friends and family this is the place for you. The cabins are very comfortable and strike a perfect balance between roughing it and having the luxury’s of home.

Your no phones policy is completely unfair. If you're gonna tell out of county campers they can't bring their phones. Then the same needs to apply to the local campers as well. Unfair.

I loved getting to know the supervisors that I had every time, even the people that I worked with. If any of the campers haven't tried it out and want to, I must say it will be quite an experience, but it's worth it in the end. I will be going back year after year, because I love so much! Thank you Camp Spearhead!

Our twin boys have had wonderful experiences over the years. They have autism, and this is such a great opportunity for independence and growth. Its also a break for our family because we know our boys are safe, having a good time and are well cared for. Great staff, very organized, smooth pick up and drop off. Beautiful location as well.
