The owners were absolutely amazing. They were very accommodating for our group of 5 and using their tent sites. We also showed up after the front desk employee left for the day and it wasn't a problem them. The bathrooms and showers were very clean as well as the entire campsite itself. A great spot to camp!

What can I say? I've been going down to Cape Hatteras since the late 70s. Of course, it is paradise in earth. Camped when I was a kid but the next 30 years rented houses. Well, I tell you what, found this little gem about 5 years ago when we decided to take a surprise and unplanned vacation. Shot down to Hatteras on a whim and before we left we called the Cape Woods Campground to see if they had any sites available. They did and that began a new tradition for my family. Rates are great! Stay 6 days get the 7th free. For the cost of two nights at a mid range hotel you could stay for week here. Water and electric at sites but they do have primitives if you prefer. They also have cozy little cabins as well as hook ups if you have a trailer. A beautiful pool and wildlife everywhere. You're close to the Sound and Ocean. The bath house have the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever seen at any campsite I have ever been!!!The year rounders are friendly folk that have become like family to us. What a beautiful place that won't break the bank.

Nice place to come and stay. We did tent camping on the first night then upgraded to a 1 bedroom cabin. It was nice had 1 full size bed with a set of bunk beds. Had a tv and air conditioner. Place also has a pool and laundry on site. Hot showers also available. Only negative was the air conditioner made a really loud rattle noise when on and made it a bit hard to fall asleep too. We plan to stay with them again soon.

Gem of a campground with nice size sites ... lots of shade and a great pool. Clean bathrooms and plenty of room to walk your dog. Camped in site #112 for 2 nights and very peaceful and quiet back here. Lots of seasonal campers but not many of them here now so nice & quiet. Great owner to work with, too! Thanks Laurie & Kevin!

I used to stay at Cape Woods in the camping cabins and it was an amazing experience and value. Haven't been in several years and called them recently to check availability and unfortunately it is now corporately owned and all of the sites are privately owned and rented annually. What a shame such a wonderful place has been purchased, taken over, and restricted.
