Customer service prior to arrival and first engagement was great. It went downhill from there. A fellow camper was experiencing electrical difficulties. We asked the campground keeper for assistance. He came and tested the outlets which were operable. Our friend was frustrated and long story short the keeper said "I don't need this.Im not going to stand here and argue with 'you people'." Honey, you're not from these parts and you don't say 'you people'. Our friend left the next morning and he avoided us like the plague. Functional but dated bathhouse. Landscaping needs help, but we recognize the area is sandy and prone to the perils of storms. Best part was the beautiful views from the little pier, quacking ducks, and the hospitality shown by Blue.

Parked our camper here for several months. The condition of everything at the camp site is deteriorating, and nothing has been done to fix any of it. The bath houses have only two functioning toilets and showers in the women's room, and have been that way since the beginning of the year. There have been no repairs or upgrades. Hills of dirt are mounded all over, but nothing has been done with... Parked our camper here for several months. Hills of dirt are mounded all over, but nothing has been done with them to level camping spots. The pool is not cared for, not that it matters, because the pool closed at the end of August... Which sucks when you're at the outer banks because we could be using the pool even now! What we were asked to pay changed each month, probably because we paid cash. We never got receipts, and others (who paid via card), were reportedly paying less... I'm sad, this place could be so amazing with a little love and TLC... There's been no maintenance or cleaning of any sorts for the past six months at least.

This lil campground needs repair and lots of TLC. Skip, the manager is very accommodating but there is only so much he has to work with. The owner should invest some $$ into the property. There is a pool on site. Great for fishermen.

We called the new owners to make a reservation and got the third degree about our dogs. Now I will admit my dogs aren't the best behaved so we bring them out in the early mornings when no ones else is around and walk then down to the point where there are no campers. Through out the day we let them out right by our camper. The last campground we were at our one neighbor didn't even know we had dog... After our interaction over the phone we decided this was no longer the place for us. We were here in October 2023 and it was our 3rd time. I wish they wouldn't have had to sell it. Scott and the whole family have always been very accommodating. They called us and let us know they were experiencing the worst flooding they had seen in years. Talking to the long time leases campers they told us the same thing. We loved this place because of its secluded area without commercial properties and crowds.
