You used to could fish there with ease but since 2024 Hurricane Helene messed up the banks. They've recently put black paper and big rocks on the banks. Hard to fish standing on rocks.

Bathrooms are just outhouses and nasty-no way to wash hands. The playground is gone-just a small walking trail and picnic tables. There are fishing spots though.

Great little playground, with slides, climbing stuff, and swings (including an accessible swing for small ones who need it). There's also a walking path that the local library has turned into a story walk, so you can read a kid's book as you walk. There are covered picnic tables, good parking, and a built-in grill at each table. Nice place; will definitely come back for a picnic.
