Let me tell you the story because we were run off the property. I was traveling to Tellico Plains on Sept. 20 and had researched for weeks on places to stay. Smitty's had great reviews so we planned on staying there. I also checked availability daily for a week to make sure they had a room. Well, we pulled up to the front office on the morning of Sept. 20 and no one was in the office. The sign said to text a number if they were not there, so we did. While I was waiting I had to use the restroom. When I got back to the front, the lady came out and asked, "What we are doing here?" We said we were wanting to rent a cabin for the night. She said, "Where are your motorcycles?" We clearly didn't have any as we were in a small SUV. Then she asked me, "What were you doing?". I told her that I had to use the restroom. She said, "Restrooms are only for the patrons!" So I kindly replied that I understand that and we were planning on renting a cabin for that evening. She said, "No you are not! This is ONLY for motorcyclists!" I apologized to her and told her we did not realize that but wanted to stay anyway. She then said, "No you are not. You can get back in that car, back it up, and get on out of here!" So...........at that time there were 4 cabins that had people in them and 1 had a car. Hmmm. No where on any signs on the website or on the property did it say you cannot stay there if you don't have a motorcycle. There are also previous reviews on their website that had folks with cars staying there (2 with proof from pictures of their cars net to the cabins). Then to be talked to so rudely and literally be told to leave the property and refusal of service was just unprofessional. I was in absolute shock on how we were treated and talked to. Never in my life have I experienced that kind of treatment and can't imagine how a service industry business would allow that from their employees or owners. I was excited to stay at this location because of all of the positive reviews. I don't think I've ever left a bad review in my life, but this experience had to be shared.

Awesome, friendly place for camping or cabins. Geared towards motorcyclists. Tent sites and cabins have fire pits. Has clean bath house with hot water. It’s safe. Great value for money.

Great place to ride from. Off road trails close. We ran the Tail of the Dragon and Cherahola. One day when the weather was bad we rode to Atlanta and ate some barbecue.

Stopped while on vacation the first week of July. Was a friendly experience with an excellent host. Cheaper than the hotels and much better than them. Even if you don't have a motorcycle and have a small car like I do, this still a great place to stop and stay.
