We camp a lot at State and federal campgrounds because we prefer the larger wooded sites and don’t care about bingo or the 4PM hay ride. This is one of the best values we’ve found because the sites are plentiful, good sized, spaced apart and all come with 20 and 30A electric. Don’t worry if you’re over the official 26’ length limit as nearly all sites would accommodate a 30+ foot RV. The lake h... The camp store is well provisioned and everyone we met as far as staff were very kind and helpful. For $20 fee was very fair compared to twice that for sites in our home state of NH at Dolly Copp in the White Mountain National Forest. Super value.

If you’re looking to unplug from the chaos of the world and reconnect with what matters, this is your place. Indian Boundary Campground isn’t just a campground—it's a reset button for the soul. There’s no cell signal, and let me tell you… it’s glorious. No emails, no notifications, no doom scrolling just the sound of wind in the trees, water gently lapping at the shore, and your own thoughts finally catching up with you. From the moment we arrived, the camp hosts welcomed us like family. Friendly, helpful, and full of local wisdom they made sure everything felt safe, clean, and peaceful. And don’t sleep on the camp store either the owners are kind, generous, and go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and magical as possible. Need firewood, ice, or just a good conversation under the porch lights? They’ve got you. The campsites are perfect whether you’re rolling in with your RV, pitching a tent, or doing a little of both. Well-maintained, spacious, and surrounded by some of the most stunning views you’ll ever wake up to. In July, the water is warm and inviting, perfect for a swim, a paddle, or just floating around like you’ve got nowhere to be (because here, you don’t). And here’s a tip from one happy camper to another: Go for a night swim. Float on your back. Look up. You’ll see a sky so full of stars it’ll steal the words right out of your mouth. The kind of view that reminds you just how big and beautiful this universe is and how lucky we are to sit still in it every once in a while. If you're looking for a place to breathe, to heal, to laugh around a fire, or just stare at the stars until your heart slows down... this is it. Indian Boundary isn’t just a campground it’s a memory you’ll replay again and again.

Beautiful place - decent sites although most of the fire pits are in an odd corner preventing you from sitting all around it. Swim area is rocky in spots but gorgeous. The rules are ridiculous! No hammocks allowed in the trees, you WILL get a ticket if the police drive through and see it. No hammocks allowed in the trees, you WILL get a ticket if the police drive through and see it. The day use area I was told we didn't have to pay to park since we were camping, nothing was said about getting a tag. Received an $80 ticket. Talked to the host and she said it's posted to ask for the tag but when I asked where, she didn't know. Quiet time isn't really enforced, some teens were riding bikes screaming like they were dying in the dark and laughing about it

We camp here twice a year. It's a beautiful place, it's about 30 minutes from town if you need to go. There's a very nice light camp store that sells lots of different things. The lake is wonderful and there's a 3 mile trail going around it. I highly recommend this spot for a day trip or a camping trip. If you're wanting to camp I definitely recommend booking early because it'll fill to quickly.

What a beautiful place! Everything was clean and well maintained. My campground hostess was great. I didn’t have a reservation and she explained all of the available sites to me. The maps were very thorough and the camp store was very well stocked. Like a small Weigels/Mapco. A little pricey but still a bargain compared to driving back to Tellico Plains to save a dollar on mustard or Band Aids. I’... What a beautiful place! Everything was clean and well maintained. Like a small Weigels/Mapco. A little pricey but still a bargain compared to driving back to Tellico Plains to save a dollar on mustard or Band Aids. I’m ashamed to say, for one who has camped in the Smokies since the early 70’s, that I had never heard of it. Safe to say that you wouldn’t just pass by it on the way to Gatlinburg or Cherokee or Cades Cove. You have to want to go there and I highly recommended. Beautiful facility with dedicated professionals to help you enjoy your visit.
