Great little campground with both cabins and full hook up RV sites. While a little small it has the important features we wanted. Clean Bathrooms, Great Hot Water and Awesome Water Pressure. We have an Airstream 24 GT camper van and it was easy to maneuver into the space assigned. Gravel pad was flat and level with easy hookups for Electric (20, 30, and 50A), Water and Sewer. Since we use the van... Great little campground with both cabins and full hook up RV sites. While a little small it has the important features we wanted. The campground Owner and wife were very friendly and helped us get to the site and park. They also provided a map of Bryson City with suggestions for sites to see around town as well as in the Great Smokie Mountains National Park.

What a great find. We are a family of 5 and have an 28' 07 Fleetwood Avalon. We traveled here from Florida and stayed Fri-Tues over valentines day weekend. The owner Jason and camp host, other Jason, are super friendly and nice. We like to travel off season and were the only people here this weekend. We were invited to pick our site and we went with site 11 along the river. The site was plenty big... What a great find. We are a family of 5 and have an 28' 07 Fleetwood Avalon. We like to travel off season and were the only people here this weekend. We were invited to pick our site and we went with site 11 along the river. The site was plenty big. It had the promised power (30&50 amp), water and sewer. The site also had a full sized picnic table and fire ring. All the roads and sites are compacted gravel so driving is smooth, no potholes. Our site was level enough that a single board under the tire did the trick. The campground has a swing set and other camp games which my kids put to good use. Everything was clean and seems well maintained. We were promised endless hot water in the bathhouse and with a family of 5 we put it to the test, it passed with flying colors. It was awesome having the creek running next to the site which just puts me straight to sleep. Its a great location, less than 10 minutes from Bryson City and 30 minutes to Cherokee and the Smokey Mountain National Park. The road getting to the campground is a bit winding but very manageable, especially if your taking your time. We would definitely love to come back in the summer when im sure this place is packed. For this trip it was primarily where we parked our camper while we ran around and explored. 100% recommend and will be back one day.

Writing this as I sit in campsite 9, which for the water, electric, location to nature and Bryson city, fantastic owners, and great site amenities is well worth a trip! Truly cannot speak higher praise, it’s clear the owners are putting love and care into their business. 10/10!!!!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful night in a cabin at Kirkland Creek Campground. The cabin was cozy, well equipped, and very comfortable. The host was attentive and welcoming. Coffee on the porch facing the trout pond was delightful. The campground is just a short drive from downtown Bryson City and only two mikes from Darnell Farms.

Great experience!! Jason was very informative when I called to make our reservation, and he called the day of our arrival as he said he would just to get an idea of our arrival time. We called to let Jason know when we were a half our away as Jason requested, and when we arrived Jason was waiting at the entrance to make sure we made the turn in and crossed the bridge without issues. Jason navigated me backing into our site in the dark so that it only took the one try getting our trailer situated perfectly. Jason made sure we were well informed of the area and what there is to do, places to eat, etc. What impacted us the most was the atmosphere Jason has created. The campers are friendly and we felt like a part of the family while we were there. Jason even invited the entire campground to share a great bbq meal to celebrate his birthday. We look forward to going back, and highly recommend. Thank you Jason and Allison for being great hosts and making us feel welcome!
