There is pavement all the way including some of the interior roads.. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are a mix of pavement and gravel. Because of it’s proximity next to a busy road there was quite a bit of traffic noise. We were close to the road as that is the only part of the park that has 50 amp power. Further back and higher up should be much quieter. Our site, 103, was a pull thru that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (50/ 30 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is very close for a rural park. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even where the coach parked only. Overall the park was fairly clean. . We did not use the park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $61.05 (inc Tax) per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

Lake Junaluska Campgound was a God-send for my husband & I. Our transmission decided to fry on a very mountainous multi-week vacation hauling across the Appalacians & Blue Ridge from WV to NY, PA, MD, & then through VA & NC. When the check engine light screamed @ us in Asheville, the closest dealer who could fit us in for a diagnosis in under a week was in Waynesville. This campground was the closest campground to the dealer, & we were amazed to find they had space during this prime time of year (peak of fall color change in the most colorful area of the Carolina mountains!). Turns out it was just what we were looking for in a layover campground - which was an affordable full hook-up camp in a very safe (& beautiful!) area that wasn't too far from the dealer (5.5 miles) & other resouces. The lead hosts Ben & Sandy were also so accommodating & kind. They immediately blocked off a spot for us for the rest of the week, and allowed us to pay on a day-by-day basis since we were living on a day-to-day basis until we could get the truck diagnosed & then knew how long it would take to fix. They were also able to give us a 10% military discount (we are both retired military), so it was only $39/night with tax. Turns out we needed a new transmission & it took exactly 1 week for the job to be done, so we were there until the very last day the camp closed for the winter. As far as the camground goes, its very well cared for by all the hosts who care about this camp as if it were their own, & who are all also members of the non-profit Christian organization that actually does owns it (so they're kind of "part owners"). As far as ammenities @ the camp, there is multiple bathhouses throughout the campground (4 total) with showers in every one; & there is also a centrally located laundry room with 2 washers & dryers each for a very reasonable rate ($1.50 wash & $1.00 for 75 minutes of dry time). Keep in mind the bathhouses are very old & basic cinderblock buildings, so don't expect totally clean & new bathrooms - but the hot water seems unlimited & they have very effective heaters in the bathroom (not sure about AC in the summer, though). As others have stated, this campground is indeed right off a major roadway & the sites right down by the entrance **are** indeed very noisy. If you want a quieter site book one of the wooded ones up on the hill. You will still hear the road but it will be nowhere near as loud as being parked virtually right on it & you'll have a ton more privacy up there, as well, as the sites are much further apart & separated by woods. Overall, in spite of why we landed here our stay was good, we made new friends, & I'm glad we learned of this place & this beautiful region on NC. We will he back if ever traveling through this area ofthe Carolina mountains again.

Camp hosts were great. Site 213 has a deck. Cool in the morning, but lots of sun in the afternoon. Nice view of the lake out our back window.
