This beautiful park on the North side of the Tar river is a lovely fisherman's delight. I don't fish but more than half of the people I saw were ready for it. Lots of kayaks too. It has multiple big ponds so you don't have to worry about the current and they have multiple docks as well. The walking paths are wonderful. Very family friendly. Highly recommended! The Cypress swamp areas are incredible.

Nice to have some nature in the city. It has miles of trails and fishing ponds. The ponds are stock regularly and you do have to buy a fishing permit to fish at the ponds. They also let you camp here but you have to reserve at the park office. The trails can go pretty far along the Tar river. Spring and fall is the best time to come
