It is advertised as "located in a private and secluded area, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience." and "the real magic of the cabin is its idyllic location, surrounded by beautiful forests and streams." If right at the entrance, 50' from the very busy sewage dump station and right next to the junk and equipment storage area (this is also where you park for the cabin) is your idea of private and secluded, and if you believe that saying surrounded by forests and streams means that they are out there in the Blue Ridge mountains and not something you see or hear from the cabin, then this is your place. Otherwise very deceptive description. The cabin itself is nice. There is a fire pit below the cabin but no chairs and you are not allowed to bring the deck chairs down. If you plan on camping there, bring your own shade as there are no trees and there is no privacy. The experience left us feeling slighted. I don;t recommend this place. There are lots of way better places to stay in the region.

We stayed for 5 nights in OCT-NOV 2025 and it was such a great and peaceful time! Be aware that the road (Longhope Rd) is quite steep and curvy so I definitely recommend 4WD/AWD to get up there if it is bad weather. (Also recommend coming up from 194 south as this is shorter and less curvy if you have a larger trailer.) We put it to the test hauling a 33ft travel trailer up on a windy rainy nigh... We put it to the test hauling a 33ft travel trailer up on a windy rainy night and made it just fine. And once you're at the top, it is totally with it! they had fresh water to fill the tank and a dump station w/ wash hose before you leave, which helped with less weight both ways on Longhope Rd & 194. Michael was a fantastic host as he was very friendly and accommodating. He was always a hard worker keeping the whole area kept well. highly recommend this place!

It’s a little bit out of the way, but that’s good. Nice and quiet, hike in camping spots or if you don’t feel like hiking, they have some up in the field. Mike was really helpful and attentive kept checking in and making sure everything was good. Can confirm they have small catfish in the pond.

Last minute campsite for us and for sure to be a lifelong favorite! Beautiful sites, bathrooms were very clean, showers were HOT, and the staff incredibly friendly! Can't wait to come back next year.

The stars at night were incredible. Wonderful hiking in the surrounding trails and just what we needed for a quiet few days away. We camped with our 4 kids and they had a great time exploring in the woods, relaxing and enjoying. One small area for improvement would be an improved dishwashing area, the plumbing was disconnected, but the tranquility and serenity more than made up for this.
