Nice little camp spot with clean pit toilets. Be bear aware. Pick up after yourself. Be aware when making reservations that many sites are hike in or one car to park several feet away from the site. Rv sites are close together and parking lot set up. We were there at the very end of the winter season right before they closed for winter. Loved this campground. The location is great. The creek is wonderful, and the campground host, Beth is awesome. She took good care of us and answered all of our questions. She was a pleasure to speak with. Nearby are beautiful hiking trails, the Blue Ridge Parkway, waterfalls and if you need civilization, the towns of Old Fort and Black Mountain are short drives away. We highly recommend this camp... Loved this campground. The location is great. The creek is wonderful, and the campground host, Beth is awesome. This place is amazing! There is a beautiful creek by the sites and it's only $10 a night and an $8 reservation fee if you pay ahead of time. I definitely recommend making reservations since they're pretty packed during the warmer season. There are some first come first serve sites, but they were all full. I definitely recommend making reservations since they're pretty packed during the warmer season. There are some first come first serve sites, but they were all full. It's well maintained and there are picnic tables and fire pits on every site along with bathrooms (no sinks though). There isn't any cell phone service, but there is in Old Fort 5 minutes away. The maintainer who works there is super nice and really helped us out on our first trip. Also it's not far from Black Mountain and about 40 minutes tops from downtown Asheville, and its 100% worth the drive.

I love Curtis creek there is something for everyone. Fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, biking, or all of the above. Camping is only 10 bucks a night. You can reserve online or go by and look around and hope to catch one of the first come first serve spots. Most of those are only availabe for a night it seems like depending on the time of year, I guess. And they're not always available especially... I love Curtis creek there is something for everyone.
