I've stayed here three times. Twice with a broken foot...DIFFERENT feet! So, the hike in isn't so bad, if I could do it. It's pretty secluded, but there is a hiking path that runs by the top of the yard, so you might see a few people. We've gone as a couple, hosted kids, and brought groups of people and always had a great time.

We plan to visit here for 3 nights and 4 days every year for years to come. We like to go in the early spring or late fall when there are less critters around, but we still usually get to hear or see the rats running around. Part of the real wilderness. Life without water and electricity for a few days is worth it when you are forced to be without cell phones as well. Not that we need to be forced to spend quality time together, but here you have no choice but to bond with your Family or fellow campers.

Neat location. Trail to get to isn't too bad. Privy was.....primitive and a bit gross, even by privy standards. Cabin itself had the dust and dirt you'd expect of a Civil War-era cabin open to the public. Worried about mice and snakes, but saw neither during our stay.
