Before it was public my grandfather Floyd Greenlee taught me how to hunt there during summer breaks in elementary school back in the early to late 70s. From 3-9 years old. Best memories EVER!! ❤️

My dad owns a camper up here and we come up and enjoy the peace and quiet from time to time! It’s such a relaxing place to be and now the new addition they have added, the swimming pool and a small tennis court. The neighbors are great but most keep to their self!

We stayed at Greenlee of May springs, this was our first and last experience with this campground. So we were in a lakeview site which maybe if there was no leaves on the trees or you stand on top your camper. The lake is nice, but the campground has more cons than positives. So to start from beginning, we go to check in, and not being familiar with the campgrounds I asked if someone was showing us to site, the girl was like no just take this path and you will see it. OK sure let's drive a 35' 5th wheel through a crowded campground and find it. Next the rules in place for campground are not enforced. Boats trucks jet ski parked everywhere making it so tight you could barely drive your vehicle to get out. Even though posted to not park there. Also should note huge parking area 100 yards that had nobody parked in it. Next the campsite: so tight, the neighbors back camper was in our picnic area, and they tied 2 dogs to back of camper and they were just left outside day and night and in our site. We have a GSD we had to give him less than 4' because our neighbors kids, adults and dogs kept running through our site, parking bikes, toys etc where we were supposed to park our truck. So once again could have been enjoyable but no rules enforced. No dog poop stations, so people just don't pick up, or you have to throw dog poop in the trash cans located in picnic areas. Not the best option. So many dogs off leash. Not sure why that rule isn't enforced. OK now for the positive, the laundry room was usable and machines worked. But we won't return to this park or affiliated campground.

Love May Springs, have over 50 years of family camping memories from May Springs. I’m not sure what it was called back then. Have a picture of me sitting on the bank of campsite #1 fishing at age 6 in 1969. I have probably camped here over 100 times since then. Only then it was just a single gravel road, that you pretty much had to bushwhack you own campsite with a slingsicle, surrounded by field... Only then it was just a single gravel road, that you pretty much had to bushwhack you own campsite with a slingsicle, surrounded by fields of tomatoes. I love how May Springs has grown and still very accommodating with the pool, volleyball, basketball, corn hole area fire pit area covered pavilion, sand beach , picnic area and very nice store and shower/bathrooms. Also pet friendly. Thank you May Springs for a lifetime of memories and hopefully many more years to come.
