No frills campground but it's beautiful and the sites are spacious and there is a nicely maintained trail. My doggie and I loved it. T-Mobile service was excellent here

The campground itself is in a good location for kayaking and hiking but it's in a sorry state of neglect and disrepair. The camp host doesn't seem to be motivated to do much of anything. Im sure its not her job to collect the trash but what about picking up around the garbage cans until trash collection comes. Im sure its not her job to collect the trash but what about picking up around the garbage cans until trash collection comes. The bathrooms were never swept in the 3 1/2 days we were there over Christmas break. The same trash bag hung on a hook in the corner was never changed. When I arrived someone staying with the camp host was using a leaf blower to clean up the camp host's site while all the other sites looked like they had never been cleaned. After experiencing a well maintained, clean and organized state park on a previous camping trip, I know that it's possible to do a much better job. I'll return to the area and try another campground.

The campsites are mostly private, minus a couple that you can see from the road. They have great space, especially the double spot 08/10!! this is where we stayed and it made us feel right at home. Has a nice little spot near the water where we got to see the sunset and it was breathtaking. Our only cons about this place are the fire pits & tables need updating as they are really starting to show their age. and personally, the little outhouses with just the fake toilet could be better taken care of and have at least a light for people to see. other than that, this place is beautiful for camping. we did not have an issue with bugs during October, the mosquitoes were bad near the water, but not at our campsite! we absolutely will return here some day! Highly recommend for nature lovers.

Loved this campground! The sites were nice and large, the fire pit was nice, and the view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely check this out if you’re looking for a place to primitive camp in the area!
