I also feel compelled to respond to the review left by Cheyenne Reiman and refute it as there isn't one word of truth written in it. I have lived here for more than 3 years and this park is impeccably maintained. The owner is incredible and goes over and beyond to make sure that the tenants are well taken care of. During and after Helene they worked to remove all the downed trees and make sure everyone was okay. The residents were out there helping after Helene because we are family here and care a great deal for the place we call home. We all came together and helped each other. There is a reason that there is a waiting list to live at Turkey Trail, it is the most peaceful, serene, quiet, friendly, and clean RV park you will ever find. I for one don't appreciate someone coming on here and spewing lies and negative comments about the place I call home.

My wife and I have been full-time here for 1.5 years and wouldn't think about any other place. I would like to comment on the bad review. Yes, there were trees down all over, but it played out very different than what Cheyenne has said. The whole community jumped into action! there were several of us cutting trees and moving them out of the road. The land owner was also dealing with trees fully blocking her road as well as us being fully blocked in. there was only 1 camper surrounded by trees and was cleared out within 2 days( the park was without power for 8 days, and the owner was staying somewhere else). We don't have tools that are meant for us only. The one camper that had a limb fall on it was removed by myself and another resident who is NOT 60 to 80 years old and repaired by the other resident because the owner had no insurance on his personal property ( we are required to have our own policies for our campers). How could the owner file a claim on property that is not in their name? We rent space, not property. As far as trees being hazardous? how often does a hurricane come through the upstate? what about the thousands of other houses that had trees fall on them, were they neglecting them also? they had trimmed trees around the park. Mine was trimmed before I moved in. There was food prepared for 2 days after the storm by others for everyone that was here, and a neighbor even came down with a tractor to help. Our landowners are not just landlords they are family to us and us to them, and they did not neglect anyone in need. Cheyenne, you do not live here, so your opinion is based on one person's story, not the whole community. I feel bad that someone is upset about how things played out, but it was misleading information, and for you to put this on the parks, google is not fair because the owners are not like this.

I am compelled to respond to the review from Cheyenne Reiman about what happened here during and after Hurricane Helene. You couldnt be more wrong. You have given a bad review about a situation you know NOTHING about. The owners of this park are the absolute best, most kind, considerate and generous people on the planet. They care about everyone in this park and go out of their way to help and accommodate anything we need to the extent of their abilities. I am 62 years old and I have never had to ask twice if I need something. At times, I didnt even have to ask. They take care of everything here and always have. After Helene, it looked like a disaster zone here, they were out here cutting trees and removing debris the next morning so we could get in and out of the park driveway. There was one single home damaged by trees and help was provided as soon as it could be. There was no absence of equipment, there was no denial of assistance. Trees that were close to someone's home were removed as quickly as was possible. Trees that were leaning AFTER Helene, due to the storm, were cut down right away to avoid them falling. The trees that fell during Helene had been standing for years and years with no indication that they were going to be swept of by their roots and slammed to the ground. Really? You want to suggest they should have known which trees on a property with hundreds of trees, would fall during hurricane strength winds?? Not possible. ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT, MOST of the residents in this park are NOT retired or old folks. We have young families, young couples and lots of working adults who live here, some work from home, some dont....there is maybe one home here with retirees. Mathematically speaking this makes retirees the MINORITY, not the majority. Also, NO ONE has to do repairs for anything related to the park property, help is always offered by the park owners, without delay. They have been known to provide assistance even when they shouldnt be expected to, such as when someone has had an issue with their camper, which shouldnt be the responsibility of anyone but the camper owner. I have lived here for 6 years and I have never felt anything but happy and confident that I live in a park where my happiness and well-being matters to the owners. A rare thing in this day and time. I dont appreciate someone giving a bad review full of untrue information. I hope this has set the record straight. I love my home here. Beautiful scenery, quiet, great neighbors. Everything and more one could wish for in a great neighborhood.

What a beautiful, peaceful place tucked away from all, yet close enough. Great host too. Thank you Dina for 3 fun-tastic nights on your piece of heaven.

That creek put us to sleep at night lol. The bathrooms are clean and updated. I wish they had been a little more well lit, but lighting is subjective. I will say the hike up from the campsites to the restrooms is quite steep but doable. Overall we would definitely stay here again. If you have any questions or concerns, the host (Rick) will be more than happy to help!

Excellent campground! Very clean bathrooms and showers. Only downside is the 10pm sharp quiet time. Like really quiet as in you have to whisper as in basically don’t make a noise. I could understand like hey let’s lower our voices at 10 and maybe like 11pm you have to whisper. Other than that we loved this campground!

We stayed here for 4 days and had an amazing experience. Our campsite was right next to a beautiful flowing creek, which made everything feel calm and relaxing. The restrooms were super clean and well maintained, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our favorite part was the hike to the lake where we got to see an active rail track, and we were lucky to see a train pass by around 9:40 AM.... They have plenty of firewood and ice available 24/7, and there’s free coffee near the front desk. We also enjoyed stargazing at night—there were so many stars visible. We visited at the end of October and the fall colors were stunning. Overall, it was a calm, pleasant, and truly amazing stay. Highly recommend! 🌟

Such a cool spot. Just spent a couple nights here and I already looking forward to my next time here. The bathrooms are sooo clean. Hot shower, clean toilets. Electricity at the sites and a nice creek to listen to while you fall asleep. 11/10

Camped here the last day of 2025 Great Smoky Mountain Railroad excursions. Fantastic location, very clean showers and restroom, attentive staff and great communication. Located halfway between Tail of the Dragon and Bryson City. We pulled a trailer and picked this location to avoid too many curvy roads to our home base. We will come again!
