This 14-site facility provides a rare opportunity to stay on an active military installation steeped in Coast Guard history and tradition. The base itself serves as home to important Coast Guard operations, and camping here gives visitors an insider's perspective on this vital institution that protects our nation's waterways and coastlines.

Elizabeth City, often called the "Harbor of Hospitality," sits along the Pasquotank River in the heart of North Carolina's Outer Banks region. The area boasts a rich maritime heritage dating back centuries, with waterfront charm that attracts visitors seeking authentic coastal experiences. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or need an affordable place to stay, this is a great place. These are trailers yes, but comfy couches and a big-screen TV In The living room. Very quiet at night and relaxing.

It's actually a very nice place to stay for a week. The choices range between 4 different sized trailers (all with a very modern apartment feel) to 2 cabins (which I would highly suggest). My mother actually works on base here as one of the main cleaners for the entire set of housing and she is an absolute neat freak so 90% of the time you'll get a place that's incredibly well kept, there are othe... This site has the 30 amp hookups and water for smaller RVs or trailers. They have washers and dryers that are coin coin-operated. There are also rentable trailers at this site, but you cannot have animals there so I am not using them. You are very close to the base gas station and base exchange. It is also close to the base chapel, the MWR facility, and the gym. It's an excellent camping facility... This site has the 30 amp hookups and water for smaller RVs or trailers. It's an excellent camping facility except for the unpaved spots for the trailer, which isn't a killer but makes leveling it inconvenient. No tent camping, this site is for Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security identification card holders only.

Had a wonderful stay here . Very spacious nice rooms. The master bedroom has it own room apart from the other rooms. Open space as well. They also have a playground .
