This park is a hidden treasure…. Great trails for hiking, running and biking. Trails go right along Fishing creek - rightfully named! Wish we had brought our fishing rods! Several open fields so you can get creative. Great campsites for tents/RVs - and 4 cabins if you don’t want to sleep on the ground. Showerhouses are new and nice and clean. Great place for a family day trip.

Great state park! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Visitors center was nice and informative. Hiked the mountains loop trail. 3 miles and it took an hour and a half taking our time.

This is a lovely park but the back 1/2 of the Summit Trail appears to have had controlled burns or partial deforestation which was not pretty to look at. The trails are moderately difficult but my children were able to traverse the terrain easily. Trails were well maintained. Amenities at the park office were clean. If we are in the area in the future, we definitely plan to go back.

Excellent little campground. We were in #5, a large site, but a little oddly configured–we faced the road from our camp chairs. That being said, it looks like the entire campground has been refurbished very recently. New border timbers, fresh gravel, pretty level. Bathhouse looks brand new inside, nice tile and new fixtures. Cabins look brand new also, as does concrete pad at the cabins and the handicapped site. Nice trails all around, we did sections of several, including the Summit Loop. A little taxing, but not hard. Trails were overall well marked. The Fishing River was very calm and pretty wide. At least one footbridge in the park. Really enjoyable, recommended! (Caught 3 meteors in the photo, saw more)

Decent place for a hike. Nothing too crazy, but there are some trails and a nice visitor's center. There are multiple playgrounds around a short trail near a picnic area, as well as hiking and bike trails that go over by a large creek. Looks like a portion of the trail was a small land fill or someone's personal property where they used to dump all of theirs garbage or something.
