I'm working my way through all of the state parks and this is one of my favorites. But be warned you will not have phone access. This park is rugged and beyond beautiful. You really need a full day to enjoy everything it has to offer. There are numerous short hikes, and it's only a mile to get to the top. The easiest waterfall access is at widows watch.

A really good park, the hike is good fitness and the views are generally good. Stuff was dead along the way but great. Some of the stairs were eroding and one part of the red trial was closed for construction. This part had a beautiful waterfall we did not get to see. But otherwise, a great hike.

This is a very beautiful park to visit! So many different hiking trails and seeing the domed Stone Mountain is awesome! They even have refurbished old houses from the 1800s at the top there. You can also mountain climb here too.

Beautiful park! While cruising down the parkway, we decided to check out this state park, so glad we did. The park is beautiful. Some steep roads to get to some places but we'll worth it. Some steep roads to get to some places but we'll worth it. Lots of trails for all hikers and even a handicap road for folks in wheelchairs and electric chairs to reach the homestead at the bottom of mountian. We took the trails to the same spot, and it was an awesome hike. Well kept trails, and beautiful fall colors. The homestead was awesome and educational. Even a bathroom kinda tucked out of the way. The large dome mountian was beautiful. Even from our viewing point. There were more trails to take it all in, even a summit trail and climbing with permit. Our time was limited and we definitely plan to go back and hit the summit trail, and explore more of the park. If your in the area looking for some outdoor adventure, definitely check it out!
