My college Lutheran Campus Ministry (Jacob's Porch @ OSU) does a retreat at Mowana every semester, and the grounds are beautiful and the building there are great. I've heard such great stories about what it's like to go to summer camp at Mowana, too- would highly recommend as a retreat location or summer camp.

I attended Camp Mowana as a kid and worked there during college. Both times it was a great experience. It was an awesome summer job and I was able to continue working weekends throughout the year. I learned a lot and made a lot of friends. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything!!

Mowana helped to shape the person I am today; as a camper, later as a counselor, and as a Christian. In no other place have I more felt the unconditional grace of God. Last summer my wife and my four-year-old daughter joined me for family camp. It was terrific. I can't wait to send my daughter there as a camper when she's old enough.

I took my son there for three summers. He had the time of his life. It was a wonderful experience for him. Being in a beautiful setting, he learned about nature, friendship, and how to grow in his relationship with God. The councilors were terrific, and Pastor Carl was great!!

I would strongly recommend the experience of Camp Mowana to anychild and budding teen... I recall it taking me months to save the $30 per week fee... lol... I so wanted to be a Camp Counselor... can not remember what got in my way... nonetheless... the best experience one can get in their search for their love of the church and our Lord... I can still remember getting a crush on a girl from East Canton named Vicky Smith...
