Our extended stay at Jackson Lake Campground was, unfortunately, a series of disappointments that revealed a significant gap between what was promised and what was delivered. The website and signage promote inflatables in the lake — there were none. The so-called “lake” is more accurately described as a shallow garbage riddled mud hole, and both the lake and the pool were closed for more than half the summer. When the pool was open, it was overrun by the public, leaving paying campers unable to enjoy it. The campsites themselves were consistently muddy and poorly maintained. The road leading into the property is riddled with potholes — to the point that vehicle damage feels inevitable. Campers are expected to cut their own grass, which is shocking given the already high site fees. The utilities are another concern. The well water provided to campers is of awful quality; at one point they had a boil water advisory, it stained our showers orange after a single use. On top of that, the electric billing is completely unreasonable — somehow our campground bill exceeded our home’s monthly usage, which makes little to no sense. The on-site laundry facilities consist of only one functioning washer and one dryer, both outdated and ineffective, which is wholly inadequate for a campground accommodating long-term guests. In summary the only thing enjoyable was the other campers who could agree with everything that was just said. Jackson Lake Campground feels like a poorly managed property that prioritizes collecting fees over maintaining a livable or enjoyable environment. Between false advertising, neglected facilities, and lack of basic upkeep, I would strongly recommend exploring other campgrounds before considering this one.

Not the greatest stay. Will not be back. First, The main attraction of the park was the inflatables in the lake which are gone this year. Also, there was a boil advisory sign on the restrooms, we were very nervous about showering or anything in the bathrooms. Lastly, the public restroom by the pool was not open due to issues and you had to hike a bit to get to another bathroom. Lastly, despite there being many open camping spots, we were put in the spot right where people are pulling in and leaving the campground. Very noisy.

We went camping here last weekend and of course we had a good time because we were with good people. I chose this Campground because I saw that there was a lake with inflatables that we could have fun on. I read the website prior to going, which said the pool was closed after Labor Day weekend. It said nothing about the lake and in my head I thought well why in the world would you shut a lake down... It said nothing about the lake and in my head I thought well why in the world would you shut a lake down? Saturday morning we got our swimsuits on drove around the campground couldn’t find where this lake was so we stopped in the store to ask. Turns out the lake is a nasty small pond, and it was indeed closed. I told the man working in the store that maybe they should update their website to say that the Lake and pool were closed after Labor Day. Then got an attitude with me And repeatedly kept saying that it’s the end of the season as if that means anything to me. We would’ve never gone here if we had known. When I checked out for the campsite too, it made me pay 10 extra dollars to make sure I got the campsite I wanted and when we showed up, there was literally one other tent camper. Definitely will not be returning.

Honestly a pretty nice place. We stayed right by the lake in a tent, site 204. Bathrooms were clean, and I saw them get cleaned at least once a day while I was there. I think the lake and pool were closed for swimming which was a bummer, but the lake looked like it had some algae so that may have been why for the lake at least, not sure about the pool. Prices in their shop were pretty good, and you’re required to buy firewood there and it was reasonably priced. My only complaint is that there was some poison ivy on a couple of trees on my site so we weren’t able to hang up my hammock, but not a huge deal. Very friendly staff! And even though they were busy, it was a quiet atmosphere.

We had a great camping trip, the full time campers that live here are great. This place really does observe the quiet hours. The pool is great for floating in...it's not too deep ( I think 3 ft 6inches at its deepest) the lake does not have inflatables anymore ☹️. The staff were good. I would definitely come back. Thanks for the memories.
