Manatoc Scout Reservation

This place is awesome,I went here in the summer of 2025 with my troop and I have to tell you that this place is amazing. Even thought it is a little hot out (Almost 100 degrees) they still have everything nicely spreaded out and the staff are really nice especially Jude from the climbing tower, they staff remember to tell you to drink water and stay hydrated. They even take breaks in the middle of learning merit badges for you to drink water. The pool is absolutely amazing and wonderful definitely with how hot it is out. So I would like to tell you a great story of this one staff member and obviously me forgetting my water bottle, so I was at the trading post/camps shop and I forgot my water bottle at camp so this staff member gave me a dollar and told me to go buy a water bottle which is really trustworthy, loyal,helpful,friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, brave, clean and reverent. A nice camp, with some really rich history!Great for first year scouts and adults alike, Manatoc offers beautiful hiking trails, an escape from the city, and friendly staff! If you're bored with nothing to do at camp, you can always find a trail to hike, a picture to take, play some gaga ball, or socialize at the trading post! Manatoc was one of my most favorite experiences ever, and provided me... I would also like to mention that our neighboring troop this year, 115 of Cuyahoga Falls, appears to have a lot of the camp's staff. Everyone in the troop is so nice, and they even hosted a movie night at their campsite and invited us into it. I haven't visited many camps yet, and my troop is still recommending I go to another camp this year, but Manatoc is my current favorite camp I've attended! Happy 100th birthday, Manatoc!

We only stopped by long enough to take a picture of the entry sign. We are scouters and scouts (from National Capital Area Council) doing a family road trip. We were driving through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and saw the camp sign and couldn't help but stop to at least take a picture. We did the same thing when we happen to pass by the BSA camp in the Everglades National Park. haha. While very... We only stopped by long enough to take a picture of the entry sign.
