People are great. If you want campground where you can REALLY relax in nature, check it out. They have showers, flush toilets, river to fish, boat or even swim. Just 8 miles north of Kiser Lake

Visited here over July 4th weekend. I absolutely loved it! Lots of walking area, clean, well maintained grounds, pet friendly, kid friendly, and family oriented. I would definitely consider parking here for 6 months!

Lady who answered the phone was rude. Website clearly says ‘tent camping’ apparently that isn’t accurate. Made a comment about it and she acted offended. Won’t give a price over the phone. I hope the management can address these issues to regain the trust of their customers.

My wife and I camped there for the first time in late 2019. We are new RV owners so haven’t experienced anything else in the area. However we love staying at Oakdale. We are new RV owners so haven’t experienced anything else in the area. However we love staying at Oakdale. Fortunately we were able to get a site on top of the hill so flooding doesn’t affect us at all. Nice sized lot and very quiet. If you look around at other campgrounds around the lake area the campsites are right on top of each other. We don’t have that problem. Management is awesome. Of course we follow the rules. You will see some bad comments on here. That’s the people that haven’t figured out how to read road signs. There are some older campers there. So far I haven’t seen anything terribly run down. Ours is fairly new. 3 years old. Overall Oakdale is a great place to relax. Everyone is very nice and I do like the fact we have access to the river but not affected by flooding. We will continue to keep a seasonal lot there for as long as we are able.
