We camped overnight in October and despite being so close to the highway we were surprised how peaceful our stay was. We had a site at the end of a cul-de-sac and seemed to have the whole area to ourselves. Our site was deep and had firepit and picnic table and offered a nice overlook of the lake. The toilets were vault stile but regularly maintained. All in all we had a nice stay.

My fiancee and me and several friends had a great weekend camping here. The campsites were level and clean and we have the perfect amount of space. Only thing making this 4/5 is due to there not being bathrooms with running water, only vault toilets. Overall I had a great time at the state park and plan on coming back.

Need to add slopes and exact pictures to web page for booking reservations. Some reviews say they are level - NO. The RV spots might be, but not most of the other spots. We were on such a huge incline that we rolled when sleeping, BUT got lucky and had a spot for our large tent. Not all spots had that capability. Overall it was beautiful and peaceful. Playground and Disney movie were good touches.... Need to add slopes and exact pictures to web page for booking reservations. Some reviews say they are level - NO. Vault toilets could use some cleaning and maintenance- but overall a good experience.

The park has a pretty setting but needs some work. Also needs to accept just shorter rigs in their reservation system. Sites are mostly horribly unlevel - like a dip to enter the site! Sites are mostly horribly unlevel - like a dip to enter the site! Fortunately the park was not busy and we were able to change sites as the photos do not accurately depict the topography. The staff was helpful and courteous. The park was quiet. Nice location just a few miles off the interstate, but far enough away to not have traffic noise. Most sites are suitable for tents and very small campers. We wouldn't try to stay here again with our 36' fifth wheel until the park has been renovated including grading of sites.

I have camped there many times over the last 25 years. Always very happy with the facilities and fellow campers. I recently stopped to take a short walk across the dam and was surprised by the beautiful scenic view. The lake was completely still and reflected the foliage and sky in an amazing way.
