I went during winter so a lot of the areas were closed. That was disappointing. However, I bet they are glorious places to visit during the right season.

Lake Murray State Park is fantastic! The water is crystal clear, perfect for swimming and boating. The trails are beautiful, and the campgrounds are clean and comfortable. It's a great spot for a weekend getaway. Everyone should check it out—you won't be disappointed!

Personally I have never been to the area before today but if I had to judge just off today I would say I love it. There's a whole bunch of nothing that I like and the big cities are far enough away to not get involved in anything the city requires. I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone I talk to about the area
