Wonderful place to stay! There's plenty to do, enjoy a swim in the indoor pool or sit in the sauna! There's a children's playground area. We stayed in a Wagon and it had a king size bed with a bunk bed, a coffee machine, mini fridge and table with 2 chairs. You are given a code since it is a keyless entry, you can use the same code for your assigned bathroom. The bathroom was very clean and tidy. I would recommend wearing sandals or slippers to walk around in the Wagons though, as the floor is a bit dirty. It was overall a great experience and we enjoyed every minute here!

I can't express how great of a stop this was for us. We've been here before one time for just a night and had a great experience. We planned on staying the night and ended up staying needing to stay 4 nights for the storm to pass. Andy took us to Walmart to pick up a heated blanket just to be helpful. Natalia at the front desk was so sweet and helped us get into a cabin our last night as it was -15 and she knew we had young kids. We had been cooped up for 3 nights and the extra space was so nice for us and the kiddos. Everything was very clean and taken care of. They had bagels and coffee every morning. The shuttle to the Big Texan steakhouse was not operating due to the bad storm and Andy came from home to take us there for lunch. Overall the customer service is top notch and I would highly recommend this RV park to anyone traveling through Amarillo.

Stayed in a wagon. They are climate controlled, but no TV. I am perfectly fine with no TV, but if you need a room with one these may not be for you. The private bathhouse is conveniently located near the wagons and are very clean. I personally enjoyed my stay, would 💯 do it again.

I have been RV living for almost ten years. I came to Amarillo for work and found this place online. From the very first call, I could tell that this was going to be a great place. Very freindly phone conversations with plenty of details, answered all questions I had about reservations, monthly rates, amenities, nearby food and fuel options, etc. Oh, trust me when I say the kindness didnt stop there. Let me explain. When I arrived, (not at the Big Texan, but their sister park just down the road, Amarillo by Morning RV park) at first I was a little concerned because my site was on a slight incline and the power pedastal seemed a little far away. I proceeded to level out the RV and hooked up water and sewer(nice that there were two sewer drains), then it came time to hook up power, this is where things started to go sideways. Every RV place that Ive stayed had the power pedestal within range of a 25 foot cord, but not at this specific site in Amarillo by morning RV park. I called probably a dozen different places in Amarillo looking for a 50' 50 AMP locking RV power cord and finally found a place that said they had one, crisis averted, or so I thought. I bought the cord ($352) brought it back to my site, rolled it out, crap, still 15' short, what? So I bust out my tape measure, the cord was only 35'. Its getting late, I still have no power, I'm out of ideas, so I go to the office, explain my situation, next thing you know, I'm on a conference call with the owner(Andy), the maintenance guy for the park, the girl at ABM office, and the lady at the office of the Big Texan RV park, everybody is working to find a solution for me without me paying anymore money than I already have. They found a 25' extension cord to use temporarily while they ordered the correct 50' cord for me and the owner himself came out directly to my site to make sure everything was good. At first, we plugged in the cord and still no power, so me being an electrician got my multimeter out and checked power at the pedestal. The breaker was bad, so the owner(Andy) goes and gets a brand new breaker and asks if I know how to install it, I said yes and installed the new breaker plugged in with the extension cord they provided and (Angels singing) , we have power. Andy then tells me that he would ride with me to the shop I bought the 50' cord that was only 35' to ensure I get my money back the next day and also offered me a free maid service for my RV since I did the work replacing the breaker. Andy and his team are the most down to earth and hospitable folks I have ever met in my travels, they went over and above my expectations and all have hearts as big as Texas itself. They all bend over backwards to ensure your stay to be as comfortable and as pleasurable as possible. If your ever in Amarillo, whether just passing through or staying for awhile, there is no other place that I would recommend than The Big Texan RV Ranch or their sister park Amarillo By Morning RV park! I know it took me awhile to get to that part, but y'all needed to know the context of the situation to understand how helpful they were. Follow up, couple days later I went to The Big Texan RV Ranch to check out the amenities because as a guest at Amarillo By Morning, you are able to use the amenities at The Big Texan, I ran into Andy and he greeted me as an old freind, even as family I'd go so far to say. Still as concerned as ever that my stay is as enjoyable as possible and asking if there was anything they could do to help make it better. A big shout out to the entire team, Andy, Jasmine, Jenny, Lori, the maintenance fellas, and yes, even Andy beloved dog Brody. You are all awesome and have hearts of gold.

If you’re cruising into the Big Texan RV Ranch, prepare to feel like you’ve parked your home on wheels in a little oasis of RV delight. Whether you’re staying just for a night or settling in for a few, this place has you covered. Let’s start with the VIP treatment for your furry travel companions: there are a couple of dog parks that are basically doggy playgrounds. Your pups might start thinking this trip is actually for them. And the RV spots themselves are a dream: nice, flat concrete pads that barely need any leveling at all. You can roll in and basically be set up faster than you can say “Where’d I put the chocks?” The scenery is just as lovely, with little touches like picnic tables, hammocks for lounging, and twinkling lights that make the evenings feel a bit magical. And the bathhouse? Clean, spacious, and ready for you to freshen up like you’re at a mini spa. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended for a restful and charming stopover—where both you and your dogs can kick back and enjoy the journey!
