We are first time travel trailer owners and wanted to take it for a test run somewhere close to home so we chose Quartz Mountain SP… after a lot of looking at Google Maps we decided on River Run Campground and I’m so glad we did! We chose site #6 and I think it was the best one since it was on the end and you’d have no other RV in front of you. We went in March so the trees were all bare and we had a great view of the river- I think if it were summer and the trees were full you probably wouldn’t have a river view. The campsite was gravel, but using our own rug made it okay to walk on. There was a picnic table, fire ring, grill, lantern holder, plus water and 30amp hook ups. Everything was clearing labeled for us newbies so it was easy to get hooked up and disconnected. There are no bathrooms at this campground, but there are some within walking distance. The dump station was just around the corner at the Mountain View Campground and was also easy to figure out. After driving around and checking out the other RV campsites we realized that River Run really is the best one- it’s secluded and has a view of the river AND mountains. Definitely recommend this campsite to others!

Love Quartz Mountain State Park. The park employees were friendly. The best bath and shower rooms. Very beautiful area, plenty of wildlife. The only issue was the closeness of the RV sites.

Beautiful middle of America spot! Big tent sites. With a beautiful view of the river, great for fishing. Cool little swim beach and lodge. The bathrooms could use some improvement but that's just camping. Don't leave stuff out at your site though people will steal it.

Lady at visitors center was very good. Campsites are nice if a bit crowded. No real lake view. Lake access is down a steep.slope.
