This spot has been a family secret for years. The campground itself is well-kept, quiet and far from the beaten path, an ideal spot that isn't constantly overrun and has plenty of space between campsites, allowing plenty of privacy. The real star of the area is the gorgeous South Umpqua river which the site sits next to, with dozens of swimming holes and warm clear water, this is my vote for best... It is a good campground but with issues and most of those issues are the people. People playing music loud. People leaving their stuff at sites and then disappearing for several days in an attempt to reserve a spot. It's frustrating to get a spot when people do that stuff. But it is a nice camp spot overall.

Great little campground. No showers but we used it as a great place for a fall camp. Right on the river. There is wild animals that come through, so be cautious.

It's a quite place to camp but does have a few issues. Absolutely no cell service, last time we got service before the camp site was about a hour. There is a lot of poison oak, the trail that goes from the camp to the river is a path cut through the stuff. The river is also about 100ft path down a small hill to the river. It is really quiet and out of the main path. No stores except a small genera... It's a quite place to camp but does have a few issues. Wondered up on this perfect little camp ground. This place has no amenities but it's very private, lots of shade and tons of space between spots. Great swimming holes and lots of wildlife. There are loads of hiking trails near by and so much to see.
